Playoffs Week 1

I just don't understand why they would do that.

To make money.

The Lions got screwed, so they give the money back to punters, as free bets/credits, the punters feel like they are betting with a good and fair book maker and Sportsbet know well enough they'll get the very vast majority of those credit's back, with interest.

The fact they refund bets like this will entice others to join their service and blow their money with them, rather than Bet365, etc.

Outside of that one call I don't believe the Lions were hard done by at all. As you said they their chances and failed to take them.

As for the Cowboys well they need to step up next week if they want to beat the Packers.

Even if it wasn?t a penalty (it was), Dez should of been penalized for running on the field without a helmet.

Witten false start on the decisive 4th down. vine.co/v/OdDKwtDd2Jj.

The Defensive holding call which as you can see in the pictures should have been offset by the holding on the defender.

The game ending 4th down and another missed hold.

Totally disgusting, but not surprising, it?s the only way Dallas can win.

I just logged onto nfl.com and Espn, and the no call is NOT the leading story...

Imagine if a team ( say at random a team like the NQ Cowboys) got burned like this in a NRL semi....

Would we hear much wailing?

Do you think its better to have media on such a tight leash where they never go against Papa, or is it better to give them free will to criticise where they see fit?

National Fixed League.

Fact of the matter is, Dallas is bigger draw card.

Call me a sore loser if you like, but far more often than not, the 50/50 decisions always go the other ways team. Exact same thing happened against Green Bay last week.

The favouritism in this league is disgusting. It's barely veiled. The difference between the NRL & NFL is that their commentators are actually professional & don't dwell on bad calls. And the NFL have their media wrapped around their finger, & will never criticize the league. Just look at Spygate.

FTR, it's not the refs fault we lost. Good teams beat bad refs.

But it leaves a sour taste. Those decisions get called right, we could have won.

You cannot tell me big market teams teams have a say in this league. Been saying it for years. The nfl wanted and needed Dallas to win that game, it was fixed.

Same will happen next week for the colts - watch the same shit happen like it normally does when Denver and manning play the colts. There is no way, none whatsoever in a million years, no chance in the world, none none none that colts win next week - no way in the worldddd

Mate teams like buffalo, Detroit, browns have been copping it did years, but it is swept under the carpet after the game and totally ignored. I am not surprised. It is absolutely disgusting how this happens, the league is fixed, today confirmed it.

Yeah but they won't need to fix that result, Ron

Irsay and Grigson could officiate that game and Indy would still get totally outplayed

Offcourse it isn't, as usual swept under the carpet as Dallas is a big market team

Oh I completely agree, But my bet is the Broncos won't need favourable calls to do it, they are quite simply a fair superior team and if both teams perform at their best, Indy would lose by 25+

I still remember years ago which made me think that the league was ridged was when Vick got out of jail. The rumor was he was just about to sign with the bills, and lo and behold goodell shows up and entices him to philly. You can google it, why now wouldn't they want him signing for the bills but philli, nine whatsoever apart from media exposure of him in a big market.

Ray was pretty ineffective by the end of his career, regardless they've given the Pats plenty of trouble before in the past at Foxborough and I think they match up pretty well.

I also think Dallas can win in GB, if they can win in Seattle they can win anywhere!

They need to get off to better starts then they did today. You might get away with a slow start to teams like Detroit, but I am not sure you can do it against the likes of Seattle and Grren Bay.

Honestly don't know where to put this, but a sad day for ESPN, With the passing of Stu Scott, probably the anchor they had, brought so much passion and fun with the job.

This is how Robert Quinn is "blocked" almost every down. But according to some here it happens every down to every de in the league and I should stop whining. This is how the league gets away with whatever they want to do in the field. Every time I bring up super Bowl 36 look at the reaction I get. There will come a time when people say enough and stop watching.

I suppose if the game officials pulled up up every possible penalty then we would have a hundred penalties a game. If that was to happen then for sure the game would have no fans. Officials are damned if they do and damned if they don't.

they are also damned if they do and then back peddle when Ray Charles could see it was a penalty.

Did Manning run over your cat or something Ron? I give the Colts a legitimate shot at the Broncos this weekend, based on how we have played over the past month.

I've seen the Broncos on the wrong end of some suspect calls and IMO, the Patriots get away with far more than the Broncos ever do.

Manning and the Broncos were on the wrong end of a very suspect call against the Ravens in divisional loss in 2012/2013.

The Broncos were also rorted against the Bengals two weeks ago with some shocking calls going the way of the Bengals, most notably an offensive pass interference call against Demaryius Thomas when it should have been called against Dre Kirkpatrick.

It doesnt happen almost every down. I've got no problem with the holding calls, OLs like Dallas get away with a lot. When you're good, you get the BOTD.

Those calls go either way on every series... the picked up PI is the issue here, no holding calls.
