It's not WT's fault that they can only match it with the best of em' for 20 minutes only. Our for/against is minus 106 points in a fortnight.
I'ts all about the cattle you've got, just about every one of there player's is an international and there leftover's are measley SOO player's.
They have player's like Heggarty in PL.
They had Craig Wing watching from the sidelines.
At best we have 1 origin player and a couple of city rep player's.
Now you may say that rep player's are not on the market everyday and that is almost alway's the case, but till such time as we get the cheque book out and somehow find the same sort of management that know's how to SQUEEeeeeeeZE International's under a small cap I'm afraid long day's are still ahead.
As my brother said as we were leaving the ground"sure we will sometimes beat the Raider's and we may even beat the Eagles but at the end of the day,we just can't win a comp without champion player's beating champion team's"
Don't worry about picking stupid "MY TEAM FOR NEXT WEEK"thread as the lower grades got smashed so you ain't going to find any international's there guy's and gal's.

This pre-conceived notion of the roosters buying a team of international is just ignorance. The only internationals we have bought are Freddy and Morley. The other 7 internationals earnt their stripes whilst at the roosters mainly after winning in 2002. Same deal with the Broncos, Panthers, and Knights.

The current tigers management are doing a good job rebuilding the team. Show some patience and let them do their jobs.

I see, the ignorant juniors debate again. Like every young family can afford a $2 million house in bondi. Of course teams located on the outskirts of Sydney will have more juniors, and of course the inner city teams have to rely on talent scouts.

If all you want is a competition based on strength of juniors, be prepared to watch Broncos and NZ play in every grand final for the next 50 years.

Yeh it makes a mockery of the NRL's decision to decide to seek expressions of interest with the possibility of a 16th team

There aint enough quality players in the comp now to cover 10 teams and they might increase it to 16 ?

There is a major gap between the top 5 teams and the rest.

Does anyone know if the Tigers are spending the full 3.25 Mil on salary's this year??

if we are, then we have the worst management in the comp.

there is no way our top squad is worth anywhere near 3.25mil.

You really do need a reality check

How about you compare the price of your Flegg and PL side with the rest of the clubs in the NRL and I garuntee that not only will you find purchased products but they also happen to be HIGH purchase products which will almost double 80% of the other clubs!!!!

e.g.....Albert Hopoate $60,000 worth sitting on the bench for PL.

How about looking at the rules for the 2nd tier salary cap before talking out of your arse.

Please, we do not need to be patronized and in some way convinced of how your club squeeeeeezes International's and SOO player's under the cap.
I am in no way trying to sound sarcastic I admire your club for having outstanding management that know's how to run a club and convince International's to play for alot less than they are worth.
Rooster's have Politis
Wish we had a sugar daddy as well, where are you HAAARRRRRY????

NRL clears Roosters
By Brent Read and Daniel Pace

The NRL gave the Sydney Roosters the all-clear today over allegations the club breached anti-tampering rules.

But the league warned it would be hesitant to approve a deal involving the Roosters and Brisbane star Darren Lockyer for next season.

The NRL commenced an investigation last week following rumours the Roosters had made an approach to Lockyer prior to the June 30 anti-tampering deadline.

The league said after discussions with the Roosters, the Broncos and Lockyer's agent George Mimis they had found insufficient evidence to take any action.

However, the league warned it would be unlikely to register a contract between the Roosters and Lockyer if the parties agreed to a deal before next season.
TRY AND GET ANOTHER ONE UNDER THE CAP EH BOY'S

3 quick points. More to come later.

*The PL cap for the Roosters is 250k.

*Hoppa was on around 50k to play flegg.

*Flegg players are offered cars and other "stuff" outside of the salary cap.

It's clearly the roosters fault the tigers aren't performing
