parra_panther..what were those highlights? I have seen some PNG Cup footage, and it was amazing, was it a packed stadium?

The team on the bus going to the game. Crowd shots - a packed stadium. Also a few of the Aussies tries. And then interviewing Big Mal and Freddie.

That's all I can remember.

AUSTRALIAN PRIME MINISTER'S XIII 34 (Ryan Cross 2, Kurt Gidley, Luke Priddis, Braith Anasta, Brett Finch tries; Clinton Schifcofske 5 goals)

Wait - 6 tries and 5 goals makes 34. Where does Ricko's goal fit in?

They had highlights on ABC News tonight at 7. So there were cameras there, but not for broadcast I don't think.

EMTV PNG did live coverage, like they do for all major games in PNG. It's a shame that Fox didn't pick up the feed and use their own commentators.

It's a shame that people really do think that this was a full strength PNG side and that the Australian PM XIII played poorly, it just goes to show how people believe whatever rubbish they want to believe.

you'd think the PNG team (even a PM's XIII) would at least score 1 try given that they're the biggest fans of league in the world. Pity they can't play.

can't play?

Name a minnow team that can keep Australia to 34 points you goon.

They would have been flogged if this game was played last year. It shows they are developing.

That's a great result for the understrength PNG XIII. Wish I could watch the game.

It was only 10-0 at half time, so they obviously stuck with 'em for a big part of the match.

As Big Bunny says, this was a second string PNG team, a Residents team. A full strength Kumuls national team could have called upon 13 or more players from overseas such as
UK Super League
* fullback John Wilshere (Leigh Centurions, ex Penrith and Perth Reds)
* wing Marcus Bai (Leeds Rhinos, ex Storm)
* five eighth Stanley Gene (playing for Huddersfield Giants)
* prop Makali Aizue (Hull KR, National League 1 - like NSWRL PL)

and in Aus
* centre Steve Franciscus - ex Raiders
* forward Neville Costigan - Broncos

This gives a list of some more players that they were missing:

Any footage any where? I'd pay to get a copy of the game.

What about your mate who lives over there?
