Seeing they are bankrupt and cant tour the rlif has to help them out with home internationals , apparently an rlif meeting next month.

why don;t they play countries like fiji, tonga etc
regular competition in the same region and would not get flogged like if play gb, aus , nz
maybe a tour by france to png would be good they had a tight series in 2001 in png

Not sure about travel prices. If the ARL had any smarts they'd help them out. After England and New Zealand- PNG are another side who could prove quality opposition given the right amount of practice.

A regular series between PNG, Fiji, Tonga, Western Samoa, Aoterea Maori, and an emerging state side would make a good showcase piece for the region- not to mention give the island nations some big game experience.

Every 2 years there should be a pacific cup held between:

P.N.G.
Fiji
Tonga
Samoa
Cook Islands
Western Australia or Emerging Australia

With the inclusion of the last side you would probably have an easier time trying to get sposors. I would recomend playing all matches in the one country at first or atleast until the nations could draw good home crowds.
