That's the whole premise of the bid squid.
No it isn't. The premise of the bid is the Australian government trying to win over the Pacific...asking the NRL for help.
The NRL are buying hotels and holding events in Vegas..we don't have any intrest in the fed unless they give us an offer we can't refuse... that was 60 million pa but the NRL said " try harder ". We want tax free exemptions, a 4 star facility to house players and security...

Who is more bitchy this week?

The Roosters after the Fifita backflip or the NRL after the Feds gave them nada?

Both negotiating

vlandys wants tax breaks Aussie govt doesn’t

see who wins

I want to see government built bubble in PNG so players don't get taxed, well just because it might be a more impressive feat than having an opening game in Las Vegas!

If V'landys wants the poor old tax payer to fund a secure housing compound for players while demanding they get tax breaks for playing in PNG then he can get f**ked. It's an insult to every Australian who is forced to fork out a significant amount of their money to fund this crap.

China isn't going to invade Australia. Its demographics give them about 10 years to pull off an invasion on Taiwan. The one child policy they enforced until recently has set them up for a huge population bust over the next few decades. There will be too few young men of military age to prop up the economy and fight for the red army.

The government also helps bankroll Super Rugby's own Pacific expansion side, the Fijian Drua.
