Delay in selecting the location of the athletes village is concerning

2 years isn’t enough time to get everything built in time imo

Plus when are they going to upgrade the stadium it’s not fit for the nrl in its current shape and that’s even santos stadium let alone the other stadium they want to use

Not ideal but they could based themselves in Queensland for the 1st year whilst everything is being built.

You are correct.
But not in hotels. It will be existing apartment complexes for the first 1-2 years.
I believe closed tenders were requested from Property owners months ago and it closed end of August.
Maybe there will be an announcement soon on where the team will be located while the Team village is built.

If it’s not for the team launch then it’s too late and not needed

Should put the money into getting the stadium up to 40k

Most of the team will be png locals anyway after five years it won’t even be needed

Surely a decent 40k stadium could be knocked up at a fairly reasonable cost of say 80 million?

just needs two big grandstands and two basic open and uncovered in goal stands.
