Just came across this

IMG_6647.jpeg

listen to a few of those, Levels is probably my favourite of the lot and will have to give some of the others a crack over the season. Anyone listen to anything not on the list that they’d recommend ?

The Rugby League Journeyman was one I found late in the year and it has some entertainment value - The Professor, Maloney, Latimore and Rudolph

Let’s Trot - Mansour has some good interviews on there

Have just started listening to The Rugby League Digest, not sure how good it will be, but is 100 odd episodes going in depth on the Super League War. First one I listened to they are looking in depth at pre super league footy and went heavily into the Ben Alexander incident and heard a few things there I hadn’t heard before

Levels is my favorite of that list too.

The Bye Round with James Graham without the cheese is good.

Bloke has the subscribers but their shows need to be tighter. Reminds me of WWE Raw going from 2 hours to longer and the quality of the content diluted. Fair enough they have season breakdowns that go 6 hours for all teams but there general weekly shows need better pace.

Sounds like you are the same as me, I won’t listen to the Brandon Smith ones any more. One of Grahams early podcasts with Wayne Bennett is outstanding

Have to agree with the bloke comment too, I see 5 or 6 hours on some of them and don’t go near it

Listened to Stacey Jones with Murray Deaker yesterday. Few months old but I hadn’t caught it til now

Interesting when he was asked what went wrong in the mid 00s, the first words that came out of his mouth was Eric Watson, and he said the Ali decision was disgraceful and had a big impact.

Also said the club is heading down the development path now, and in a few years 80% of the roster will be kiwis, that’ll make Matua happy

I'll await the few years until then with hope, but I'm not holding my breath, we seem to Oz journeyman shopping at the moment.

Once a Warrior with Monty is my favourite league related podcast. It randomly stopped about July so I thought it was done, but I had a look on my app the other day and they dropped a whole bunch of new episodes in October.

Sixes and Sevens with Tood Carney and Mitchell Pearce, only listened to a couple of them but they have been worth a listen

Kenty. Paul Kent now has his own podcast, updated most days, I can’t stand the bloke but have found myself listening to it and it isn’t too bad

Clubhouse with Papenhuyzen, Munster and Hughes isnt bad. Usually a bit lighter than some of the other ones, as you can imagine with Munster involved.

But especially enjoyed the episode they did with Bellamy. He talked a bit about Inglis leaving after the cap scandal and could see him getting quite emotional about it, even now.

Kenty is actually very good. No BS.

167 with Pappy, Hughes & Munster is good too.

Also quite enjoy the Journos TripleM one hosted by Adam Peacock.

Yea those journo ones can be good, another thing I can’t believe id be saying is Buzz can be entertaining when they have him on there as well

My ears pricked up with Kent when he said he had one regret in his journalism career, wouldn’t name the player, but they are on ok terms now. I’d be very surprised if that is the case because the lies he wrote impacted the players life heavily and I’d doubt he would let go of the grudge against him that easily and the players brother would drop him cold on the spot

Six Tackles with Gus is my favourite, I know Gus is a polarising figure, but f**k me he knows league. I find that I learn so much in his analysis each week.

I like Levels too, although Willie is getting a bit unhinged in his loose analysis of games and teams. He seems to not know a few of the players' names, and Horo has to correct him or try to temper the diatribes he goes off on.

Yeah Six tackles is a must listen. Interesting how he said this week he shook hands on a deal with Terrell May 16 months ago that nothing come of

Yeah, the other fella tried - fairly limply, I guess - to prise more information out of him, but none was coming.

It makes me irrationally giggly every time Gus refers to NRL sides in the singular, like the Warrior and Bronco. This weekend's clash between Rooster and Warrior. I actually love it
