yeah ive cut down too, was just too much of Willie flying off the handle and Horo having to correct him or tame him, it was funny/interesting at the start but it is now a bit annoying. Sometimes you just want to hear Horo's opinion but Willie kind of overreaches a bit. Now I just listen to levels on an ad hoc basis.Haha I'm going to listen to that.
I don't listen to Levels anymore because of big Viliame/Wiremu. He's too bonkers. He compared Burton/Galvin to Moses/Cleary. Everything is the shithouse or the penthouse.
Yeah that's exactly how I feel about Levels.yeah ive cut down too, was just too much of Willie flying off the handle and Horo having to correct him or tame him, it was funny/interesting at the start but it is now a bit annoying. I tell you which one I recently stumbled across, its Buzz Rothfield and Andrew Websters (journo) new podcast, Off the Record. The episode they had recently with Matty Johns was great. Matty Johns is probably the best all round bloke in rugby league tbh
Good character all round isnt he. Good mix of smart and entertaining, doesn't fly off the handle.yeah ive cut down too, was just too much of Willie flying off the handle and Horo having to correct him or tame him, it was funny/interesting at the start but it is now a bit annoying. Was listening to James Graham yesterday who had Jamie Soward on, Soward was going in depth on a few things and said he has a podcast with Rugby League Guru called Take the Two for footy nerds where he breaks stuff down. Haven’t heard it myself so don’t know if it’s any good but may be sort of what you’re afterGood character all round isnt he. Good mix of smart and entertaining, doesn't fly off the handle.
His show with Cronk is my favourite. Really enjoy listening to them break down plays and stuff. Wish it was longer/more often but if anyone can recommend other poddys with similar content, I'd be grateful.
I got through a good chunk of those super league ones over the off season but stalled on it, will have to head back againThe Rugby League Digest, their 40 chapter (multi episode per chapter) deep dive into the Super League War is easily the best rugby league series (documentary, podcast, limited run tv/on demand, all of it) I've listened/watched. Phenomenal.
The Rugby League Cemetary, for giggle at retro footy (heavy emphasis on the Winfield Cup and early 00s Super Saturdays!).
The footy bro chat in other podcasts does get a bit old. Levels has its moments, but the ref whinging and game-bashing grows tiresome too. They do have genuine passion and chemistry though.
Thoughts on SJ's League Lounge?
"for footy nerds" sounds promising lolWas listening to James Graham yesterday who had Jamie Soward on, Soward was going in depth on a few things and said he has a podcast with Rugby League Guru called Take the Two for footy nerds where he breaks stuff down. Was listening to Gallen on with Johns as well and had a laugh when he said that he and Gus don’t really communicate at all off camera
