let's be honest.

A terrible performance from all and sundry.

but let's be UN pc for a change and lay blame.

who was the worst out there tonight ?

to me it was simple.

Dave Simmons, come on down !

from the first 2 minutes it was clear he would be targetted, souths saw him as a weakness and played to it, and ir worked. Luke Macdougal for petes sake !!!!!

Simmo is young and very Very talented, but was found out tonight by mediocre players and shown NOT to be a first grader.

last week, great !

this week, shite !

V the tiges in reservesz round one....exactly like tonight.

Simmons didn't look comfortable all night and souths were smart in targeting him.

Nutley is really begining to p*ss me off. How many penalties did he give away tonight?

Peach and Kimmorly showed no leadership and no creativity or idea in attack

Bird put in a downright dirty cheap shot and reduced the team down to 12 men.

Point the finger?

Every bloody one of them so called first graders out on the paddock with the exception of 2 or 3, plus the coach plus the board. Simple! If my team of U15s gave away stupid penalties and carried on like Shark 1st graders then they would find themselves on the bench next week.

Not a happy game by Simmons, but he also suffered the same way the wingers did last year - facing a constant overlap, and weak centres inside them providing little cover.

Beeker that is very harsh to rip into a kid playing his 3rd first grade game and on the wing for farks sake, as the worst performer in an ordinary side. He did look a little shakey, but survived the early bomb and recovered chasing that kick. His defence is only average, but he had to defend outside McGoldrick who is useless. As I just said elsewhere, McGoldrick defends like Colin Best. He shows his opposite the sideline then trys to run him down. If Simmo hadn't came in on that try the commentators blamed him for, i believe A mcDrugo would have summied and slid over. Furthermore, i think Luke MacDrugo is a very good player and could be heading for rep honours in the next couple of years. I can't believe we let him go without a fight, then again the MacDougalls are good at disappearing and coming back as super athletes. Its all part of the MacDrugo strategy on how to become a first grade footballer. I wonder what he was doing inbetween leaving Cronulla and joining the Broncos.

Nutley, Stevo and our other illdisciplined forwards were far worse than Simmo. If we persist with Simmo he'll come good.

I find the critisism of Simmo strange.

I listened to the ABC call (because I couldn't stand to watch), and they had nothing but raps for the bloke!!?!

EDIT: Point the finger? How about point it at the Sharks supporters not there. You should have heard the crowd on the radio. They were a definate influence on Archer at times I feel. Couldn't even hear the Sharks fans when we scored...

Simmo? f**k no. He was targetted and he made mistakes, but he was a long way from the worst. Want to point a finger? Lets point one at Isemonger, who couldn't help but give away penalties at crucial moments. Lets point another at Nutley for the same reason. Lets point one at Greg Bird for being a disgrace on this club.

But don't f**king point the finger at a kid in his third first grade game, who despite a mountain of pressure, still performed ok. He had a poor game, but I'll be f**ked if it was his fault.

Garbo, I undersyand your connection, but..... did he play ok ? or did he have a poor game, you say both in your post.

not saying he was much worse than many others out there who should know better, but he sucked !

a bit like another young winger who debuted at marathon not long ago, we got flogged by 50 pts and the kid had a shocker.......footy is strange, that kid scored three tonight, and i believe simmo can reach far greater heights, but bullshitting and telling him he went well, whewn he plainly did not will not help him reach those heights.

Im aware that its harsh... which is why those that are well accustomed to it and played disgracefully are the players I'm worried about. Simmo has an excuse - what excuse do that disgraceful trio of Bird, Nutley and Isemonger have?

Beeks - I don't doubt he had a poor game. I'd tell him to his face he had a poor game.

Thats not what this thread is about - its about laying blame. And you're blaming a kid who had a poor game, amongst a team of players who were absolutely disgraceful.

Well said - it is definitely the established players who are not aiming up.

Yeah I agree Garbo.
this is one of the stupidest posts I think I have ever seen.
But for the all the other forumers, here is the between the lines stuff.
Beeker & Frenzy have being going hammer & tongs like Beeker & redback used to do over at that other place. Frenzy is a big Simmo supporter. Get it???
Also, one forum hippie & part ime zionist terrorist is also a simmo fan. Get it????
ohhh, I love this soap opera stuff!!!!

blacktip, you are a f**king idiot, no question there.

Garbo, it's my opinion mate, you saw how much i rapped the kid last week ( yes blacktip you bitch), not simmos fault, but facts are facts, three tries straight down his wing. had it been best or kent in that jumper there would be no shortage of finger pointing, so simmo has to step up and cop it.

inconsistancy is part of youth mate, you will note i'm not calling for his sacking.

i also agree that isemonger, bickers. nuts, even stevens beats and bails need to aim upand i would drop all them before dave simmons.

nothin went for him tonight, the ball bouncing off his chest early on when shadowing the ball dead etc. but that will happen and he needs to accept he had a bad night.

More back peddling than a circus clown!!!!!

So you reckon he was the worst, bet less worse players should be dropped??!!!

I thought he was completely unprepared to make up for all of Franzes defensive deficiencies.
he was bad, but far from worst.

nutley, isemonger, bird

i gave it to all of them from the bay next to the army all night
they embarrassed our proud club

simmo was weak but he WILL be good
it's fair enough for beeks to point out that he was rubbish
however the good man doesnt deserve to be blamed for the loss

i personally blame nutley, bird, isemonger
in that order
NUTLEY HAS TO GO
GOOD NIGHT YOU merkin

thanks shadow, but i guess the lads have a point, i've settled down a bit now!

reading the missed tackle stats blackie posted makes me a little less angry at simmos game, the centres did him no favours.

i hope he keeps his head up, like SS says, he will be much better than what he showed tonight.

I will sa that Simmons and Isemonger had unhappy nights, and will be luck to stay in first grade next week. However, I'm absolutely fuming at some of the penalties the Senior players gave away. That's who I'm pointing the finger at. Nutley, fair dinkum, he tries to drag a bloke into the goal by the leg, and then blows up to the ref about it. Stevens sticks his leg out to trip Peters, cheap Stevo. Beattie tries to pull a blokes leg off, the most blatant leg pull I've ever seen. And these idiots blow up to the Ref about it!

The penalties these players were giving away, are the same ones that make my blood boil when player from other clubs do it. The cheap nigglers, cheats, and whingers that I hate. I can't stand it that the Sharks are doing these same things.
