i think the honeymoon is over for the coach - he gets most of the blame

just incidently on nutley - i think he is one of the most illdisciplined players in the NRL

BUT last night 2 of his penalties were harsh and hometown decisions

he had every right to try and drag that player back into the in goal he wasnt tackled

and the other was a mystery he got penalised for lying on the player despite clearly getting off as far as he could

stevens also got done for a flop that was a perfectly legitimate tackle

i suppose you expect home town decisions in away games

btw not blaming the ref we were awful just pointing out i think nutley can feel a little hard done by with 2 of those penalties

while we are all talking about birdy little bad actions we need to lay into stevo as well that trip at the end was so intentional and un called for. if we cant loose gracefully then id rather not be in the comp. i wanan support a team that can hold there head high if i wante dto support thugs and bad loosers id be a dogs fan.

my worst for the night by far would be nuts he is a disgrace this year he needs to be dropped so he can learn a lesson.

Yes IMO the finger is pointed right at Nutley, Stevo, Beattie. These are supposed to be the guys with Xperience. They played like dikheads. Raper has alot of work to do with these clowns or we wont even see the top 8. I'm pretty sure the sharks can turn it around but some of these blokes need a reality check in PL. As for Bird just disgraceful.

I agree, I believe we can definitely turn the season around still - plenty of time... but discipline needs to be fixed - THE SHARKS are not meant to be this type of team - we never were as far as I can remember.

Can't wait til next week though - hopefully Vagana will return, including Rieck or Merrit.

Millersnose, you are 100% right about those two calls against nutely, even freeman on commentary was bemused about that laying down penalty, nutely was getting up quicksmart and should not have been penalised.

i also thought at least one of baileys penalties, when he came in as 3rd man in the tackle and was pinged for a flop, was pretty harsh too.

When it comes to scoring, Luke has a try scoring per ratio of 92% strike rate especially from 10 out. He's as strong as a bull.

Raper should have known this and planned better for the joint McDougall attack on that kid, who looked pretty good overall.

just bad planning.

Exactly right.
But tha is pretty obvious. Like I have said before, the Sharks aren't doing anything different than any other team. They just aren't doing it as well or as crisp.
Fitness.
Compounding that, we are now a lowly placed club, which mean that we will get few decisions our way & many against.
I'm not blaming the refs, thats just life.
Crawling back up off the canvas is the hardest part when taking a club to the competitive level we were before.
& Anderson knocked our club to the canvas.

Ain't that the truth.

We've had so many "good" tries disallowed in the past 2 years it's f***ing crimminal.
