I will say one thing. CC Deville is classically trained and can play some serious chops on the axe. Sure Poison were lame, but the dude can play Ive seen him perform live solo and he's up there.

For this to be true, they actually have to be rated first.

Apart from Ron, name one other person who actually does rate them?

I rate them, really liked open up an say ahh.

When CC Devilie left they had a good album with Blues Saraceno, I actually discovered it in a Poison thread on here or back in the RLEAGUE days with a poster named 'Woods'.

Fallen Angel is my all time Poison fav, I have read they are touring the US be cool if they made there way to Aus.

I also think Brett Michaels is doing some sort of porno tv series where he shags a heap of girls before picking the winner?

Love those 80's glam rock clothes! The film clips of that era kill me, the drugs of the 60's and 70's culminated in the 80's fashion I reckon!

They wrote some good catchy rock songs that will be forever overshadowed by the image they chose to have.

Open up and say ahh had some good bluesy tracks that I still like to this day.

Still beats the sh*t out of anything Tim Rogers had composed, now theres some utter garbage.....

yet they rooted more chicks then you could possibly imagine, the jealousy:lol:

Not after 1994 they couldn't.

Poison signalled everything that was wrong with the hair farms.

Nikki Sixx was the first real passenger in a band that could play, Motley Crue.

Poison had 3 people who couldn't play, and C.C De Ville was average, a poor man's George Lynch.

CC Deville better than anything today

As far as I can see John Petrucci still plays.

Now as far as the 'talent' of Poison goes, Rikki Rockett couldn't keep time, Bobby Doll can't play at all, Bret Michaels couldn't distinguish sing in key unless CC played the notes of the vocal line in isolation.

Now I know Deville is a classical trained musician but he is of average ability. Compare him to Randy Rhoades and anyone can spot the difference.

Poison were also a very poor live act. After they recorded 'Look what the cat dragged in', producer Ric Browde became the most sought after producer in hairville. They played nationally for the first time on the Joan Rivers show and got laughed off stage.

Browde then announced Poison was a triumph of style over substance and that majority of the master tape was chopped up and stuck back together. He labelled them on par with the sex pistols in being so poor in the studio

So, style with no substance until Kurt Cobain came along, and then they werent even in style

good to see this getting the treatment it deserves.

Poison make Motley Crue look like men.

 That reminds me, in the Motley Crue biography "The Dirt" (brilliant read by the way) one of the 'Crue reminiscing about the early days on Sunset Strip mentions how "everybody wanted to f**k the chicks from Poison".

As for being metal, if Maiden are iron, Slayer are surgical grade stainless steel and someone like Ulcerate are depleted uranium, Poison are aluminium foil....
