I was just checking out some player transfer lists etc and just saw Pat Politoni listed as an addition to the Cronulla 2013 NSW Cup team.

Anyone know if this is true?

On the NRL site he isn't listed as a loss, but he isn't listed as remaining member of the squad either.

Gains (as both clubs): Michael Gordon (Panthers), Luke Lewis (Panthers), Jonathan Wright (Bulldogs), Beau Ryan (Tigers), Chris Heighington (Tigers), Tupou Sopoaga (Bulldogs), Junior Sau (Knights), Junior Moors (Tigers), Lagi Setu (Broncos), Brett Finch (Wigan), Tim Glasby, Kurt Mann (Knights), Pat Politoni (Wests Tigers)

It's actually pretty well confirmed, considering he's lining up for the Sharks NRL trial this weekend.

Can't believe we let him go.

Safe to sat that Sheens crueled his chances at WT by his preference for Iosefa over Politini. Despite a new WT coach after the end of the season I suspect that Politini's attitude to WT, his effort and WT attitude toh im was pretty well set. The extension of Iosefa contract into 2013 no doubt sealed the cake for Politini. Good luck to him at the Cronulla Sharks his potentnal at WT was wasted by Sheens. (BTW- does it seem to anyone else weird the sheer amount of WT players Cronulla has signed?)

Anyway, here is another one we can chalk up to Sheens well known 'like and your in, dislike and youve no chance' squad. Thankfully the last by the looks of it.

The sharks hired some bloke involved with Tigers recruitment back in 2010 i believe.

Judging by the recruitment of the sharks in the last 3 years its clear to see we lost a good man there too.

Offered more than Iosefa. Looked more potent with the pill and didn't miss/fall off a tackle like Masada.

Can chalk that up to another Sheens masterstroke though.

The utter madness of it is that he stands more of a chance of playing FG here then at Cronulla, where he's likely to be 4th in line for first grade honours by years end, behind DeGois, Morris and Lichaa.

At least he only had one more year to wait behind Iosefa.

Says a lot about the state of this club at the time he decided to leave.

Farah goes down and we are in big sh.t, we have most other positions well covered. Iosefa would be brilliant playing rugby sevens, but he is not a NRL standard no9,takes lots of selfish options in attack and their are massive question marks on him in defense.

On the other hand young Pat P showed plenty of ability on the few occasions I saw him running around. Maybe Potter has one of the u20 players e marked for the role as back up no9 or thinks Iosefa will get the job done. Yet another puzzling call from tigertown

Iosefa has also shown he can't play 80 mins, and we are no doubt going to be missing Farah at origin time, what will happen then?

It better not be Fulton, Anasta, Moltzen, Meaney et al at hooker.
