England have a top midfield, but IMO are short in the striking department.

Own has been off form recently, Heskey is hopeless, Beattie doesnt even start at Southampton, and Smith is still young and raw.

BTW Alan Smith isn't good enough to be playing in our first XI, I know he is playin in a piss poor team but even when Leeds were good he wasn't scoring enough for my liking.

Apprantly Heskey is getting picked because of his strength, size and pace to try and intimate defenders.

Heskey does have strength and size (and I guess he is faster than most his size), but he is also utter crap. His inclusion pretty much gives the other team an extra defender since he's more likely to kick the ball into row E than into the goal.
