AFL players can catch the ball in their hands (rahter than the safety first chest catch)....I reckon it would be a great weapon to have someone who can jump above the pack, catch in their outstretched hands and come down and ground the ball for a try....I think Robert Hauff (remember him - used to play for the Broncos and had a few Qld and Aust games too) was a very dangerous player under the bomb - he had an aussie rules background.
