Yes, I know it is only the 3rd round, and people are saying don't worry, look at last year, but frankly, you dont just win 7 in a row every year.
The good thing is that the problems are fixable, basic problems. Mainly our kicking game, ball control and metres gained.
Problems:
1) One out runs, no one supporting, getting hammered by several opposition players.
2) Slow play the balls.
3) Lack of Direction.
4) Kicking game.
5) Lack of urgency.
6) Unfit
7) Scared to be flamboyant.
Solutions:
1) Easy, pass more, we did that a lot last year where someone would run it up and pass before hitting the line at someone deep and wide.
2) Solving problem 1 will fix this easily.
3) Need someone to shout at each other and not be scared like Eric Grothe did to Hayne in round one. Also need Robson to improve or play from the bench.
4) Tonights stats: Robson 200 KM Hayne 60 KM Both Keatings 120 KM.
IMO, Hayne is our best kicker. He found 20 - 20s often last year and he is just nt kicking enough. Also total KM was 500 and teams like the Dragons clock up 500+ just using their chief play maker (i.e. Soward)
5) Yes, tonight most of their tries were of kicks, so our defense was good, but all it shows is we are slow turning around and getting to the ball.
6) Poore is the worst offender.
7) People like Mateo are in their shell, doesn't do those risky offloads anymore which were a highlight of his game last year.
Flame me all you want, these are just my opinions.
