*NEW POSTS BELOW*

All PVP results are posted at: http://f7s.leagueunlimited.com/pvp.asp

The PVP results so far:
Round 1
A.
Bulls 41.3
Rhinos 41.1
Bulls win

B.
Raiders40.5
Panthers 41.2
Panthers win

C.
Warriors 16.8
Eels 42.8
Eels win

D.
Dirty Reds 42.7
Bluebags 42.6
Dirty Reds win

The next round:
Congratulations to the winners. We have the perfect 50/50 mix of two Possibles (newcomers) plus two Probables (current teams) advancing to the PVP Shield Semi-Finals.

Commiserations to the losers. But you all get at least one more match in the PVPs. Again, we have a 50/50 of newbies and split going through to contest the PVP Plate Semi-Finals.

Upcoming matches:
E.
Bulls v Panthers

F.
Eels v Dirty Reds

G.
Rhinos v Raiders

H.
Warriors v Bluebags

Winner of E v F will then contest the PVP Shield.
Winner of G v H will then contest the PVP Plate.

The PVP Cup Final is to be sorted out between the winners of the Shield and Plate Finals.

The state of play after round one:
For the most part, everyone played the game in the spirit it was intended with only a couple of minor hitches, all of which was sorted out with the minimum of fuss.

All but one of the teams got 5 players in.
High praise to the captains, especially newcomers Bulls, Raiders and Dirty Reds. These teams have been impressive in the way they've conducted themselves in communicating with their team members.
The Warriors still have work to do to make an impression.

Also great work to the more establish teams and captains of the Panthers, Eels, Rhinos and Bluebags who have been throwing new players into the fray and making themselves available for this tournament.

Referees Captain Dread and Gorilla have taken to the job with gusto and we think that Captain Dread may have broken the record for the fastest match marking ever. ;-)

Good luck to everyone in the upcoming rounds.

The semi-final match rounds will be posted this evening.

Cheers.

I will wear that...much appreciated Willow. Nice to see the 'extra work' being put in is being noticed.

Good luck to all teams in the upcoming games! I will not be participating relinquishing the (c) to the experienced F7 campaigner Bomber for the upcoming game vs the Panthers in an effort to 'blood' all players in this PvP tourney.

Thanks again... ;-)

Even though my team is versing them. I have quite a soft spot for the Bulls.

Managed well, and put a lot of effort in.

No offence to other teams but if we fused the Reds and Bells together we'd have one of the best teams to date imo.

Cheers Big Pete... ;-)

As for amalgamating Glebe and the Bulls, we would rather develope a rivalry that will hopefully kick off in this tourney and in the future. Being 2 new teams, we could start what turns out to be a 'beautiful' rivlary  given we both want the same thing.

Nice wrap for both teams though...I am sure though you would get the same result with ANY 2 teams merging in the 8 at the moment.

Just to let everyone know that the PVP section of the F7s website has been updated here: http://f7s.leagueunlimited.com/pvp.asp

Beginning tomorrow:

PVP SHIELD FINAL
Bulls v Dirty Reds
Ref: skeepe

PVP PLATE FINAL
Raiders v Bluebags
Ref: frank

The current state of play is that all teams are performing well.
Newcomers, Bulls, Dirty Reds, Raiders and Warriors got in 5 posts each. Great work.

The Warriors bounced back from a poor round one effort but were eliminated from the PVP by the narrowest of margins, going down by .1 pt against last years premiers the Bluebags.
The other three Possibles - Bulls, Dirty Reds, Raiders - have made it through to the PVP finals, defeating the established Probables - Panthers, Eels, Rhinos - along the way. Sensational effort.

What this means is the competition for invitation into the 2005 F7s is hotting up.

Following the Shield and Plate Finals, the Plate winner may challenge the undefeated Shield winner.

This is optional but if the Shield winner accepts the challenge from the Plate winner, both teams will compete for the PVP Cup at date to be agreed.

As for that all important question... who will make the cut?
The answer is that it is still too early to tell.

We need to see all the trials out of the way or nearing an end before any decisions on invitations and the 2005 draw are made.

And once again, thanks to all teams, players, captains and referees for making themselves available for the PVP tournament.
