So, with all the talk about wanting a new coach....just who is out there who can come right in and run the side...without being a gamble...

Anderson, Taylor, Brown, et al....are all risky...given their track records with stupid stunts and incidents.....I laughed when I heard about Anderson's grand final stunt with the Warriors hahahahahhaha and we all know about Brown and Taylor having physical altercations with players....

So, who can we get who is a top line coach? If anyone suggest Phil Economides.....

We need someone who can shore up our defense, and a bloke who wont cop egos and wont be scared to hurt some feelings....someone that wont give a f**k about the social clique of the players....we need a hard head. Folkes sounds good to me.

We cant expect instant success, all coaches have a multi year plan....the incoming coach needs 3 or 4 years to get where he wants the squad to be

We need a hard man that is not afraid to jump on a few egos. A coach who is willing to build a game on power and defense. A coach who is willing to make some big calls on recruitment and retrenchment.
It will take at least two years to desheens the club, so we have to be patient.Who do we go for, I dont really care as long as Sheens is gone

Knowing your luck you guys will chuck Sheens and sign Matt Elliot. Or Brian Smith if Roosters chuck him. Atleast he would clean out your club I guess.

Supercoach knows it all -who was it who stated - "He is a self made man. He worships is own creator".

For goodness sake stop whinging!

Daniel Anderson. No idea if he will be a good match for us, but cant be worse than the imbecile we have.

A couple of names to consider - Kearney or Fitler. I endorse neither of these, but as far as things go they could not go any worse for the Tigers than Sheens did this year. We are heading into a rebuilding phase. This has got to include finding a decent head coach. There's no point holding onto a hack just because 'there is no-one better'. There are plenty of people out there who will keep the seat warm until a decent option turns up - some of whom might even move us forward instead of sideways or backwards over the next 12-24 months. But if not, well, nothing ventured nothing gained. We seriously can't do any worse than another two years of Sheens no matter who we throw the noose to.

We are only going to get worse under this clown, already he is blaming the players, refs etc no mention of his chopping and changing the combinations each week, expect the same again in 2013 if Sheens is still in control.Change is needed immediately.

Have faith the great man has identified the one who `could outcoach them all' the return to the fold. We are fortunate that St Helens no longer require his services and we don't have to pay some sort of compensation/release fee for his services

I think someone like Jason Taylor might work for us. He knows the game, came from Wests and has a role within the media so he should be media friendly.

Folkes might be a good option as well.

Tigers 05 - is this change for change sake? What does Taylor bring to the table except his history of behaviour at the cricket and altercation with players at Souths? Folkes is a yesterday man, the same with Anderson.

Jason Taylor is a good tactician (see his analysis on SMH) but he doesn't appear to have the people skills required of a first grade coach.

Anderson took Parramatta to the grand final in 2009. Took the Warriors to a GF. Won the super league with St Helens. Each team he has coached has significantly improved.

If Anderson is a yesterday man, then what is Sheens?

Sheens is the coach of Weststigers.

I've read pages and pages of trash from the fair weather supporters with names likes Taylor, Anderson, Folkes all mentioned. I note not one of these have NRL coaching positions. Why? If they are not good enough at other clubs, why at WTs?

So everyone who wants Sheens gone is a fair weather fan? Christ you are pathetic.

Parramatta sacked Anderson for Kearney. Just because he doesn't have a club right now, doesn't mean he doesn't have an ability as a coach, does it?

As I previously said, Anderson won a title in England and took two volatile teams to a grand final. Each team he has coached has significantly improved.

Tell me why he wouldn't be a realistic candidate?

I don't want Taylor. Folkes wouldn't be my first choice, but deserves to be discussed. Anyway, next season I believe Steve Price will get punted and Folkes will be coaching the Dragons.
