just replaced the passenger side mirror on my work car and now my passenger side power window will only wind up 95% of the way. i'e pulled off the door lining to see if theres any impediment, but unless i'm blind i can't see any reason why i'm left with 1 to 2 inches of fresh night air.

i'll take any thoughts or suggestions anyone may have...

LOL i didnt know the two were related.

Does it sound like its being caught by something ? ie the motor of the window is still running but the window aint budging ? Spray some wd40 in the rubber groove in the window it should keep sliding up slowly until its up totally. If its not that it could be the motor itself (assuming you havent touched the door window itself).

I once had this problem and no end of problems with my power windows on my old ford i now swear off them big time. Although thats probably not an option with new cars. Replacing a bad power window motor is just horrible. If you tend to try to fix your own car like me, it aint worth it believe me.

If it still wont slide up after the wd40, you might have to put your left hand on the window and move it left or right while pressing the window button at the same time. Thats what i sometimes had to do with mine. This usually means the screws that connect the window to the motor might be loose.
