Pre game rituals

Before any big game the eels play in, I've got this thing whereby, if i think of something I need to follow it through. If I achieve this, then the Eels will win. Every morning I go walking around 5klm but this morning i said to myself, if I run all the way then parra will be a certainty tommorrow night.
Couldn't believe I made it all the way exhuasted without stopping.

Do any of you crazy parra fans have any rituals you perform before any big game...........???????????????

Hey Chad,

My ritual is to spell tomorrow with only one "m".
I know its sounds silly but it works for me and they have won 8 of the last nine.
Next year Ill try it your way I promise.

I have two beers before each game.

I wear something Eels related on game day.

If we lose I throw my jersey up on the roof.

If we win I sleep in my jersey.

haha ... i used to do something similar .... when i used to jog a bit (before all my bits broke) I used to push myself by saying if i can make it to X then parra can win on the weekend :crazy: :lol:

"My dog know when we win. He runs around excited".

I asked him what the dog did if the team lost.

"He does sommersalts.' he replied
"Yeah,How many?" I asked,
"All depends on how far I kick him."

I always wear Eels socks to work on game day.
Everytime before kickoff, i have these coughing fits. I seem to get them alot when Im nervous.
At Parra stadium, there is the ritual of walking through the park from Westmead station, to the stadium.
Pat my dog, give mum a hug before we leave for the game and thats it.
Mum has never been allowed to a game again as she hasnt been to an Eels victory since the mid 90's. Last game she went to was 2001 GF. She was banned from that day on. Sorry mum.

i walk to my bedroom, comtemplate wearing the dark blue para jersey from 2005, then walk away and leave it in the cupboard. it is the jersey that shall never be worn again (unless they win it)

I don't have a pre-game ritual as such, but I HAVE worn exactly the same clothes for all our wins, since I bought my lucky cap at the Warriors game.
I have might I add, washed them between games.

I used to be really weird and wear the EXACT same thing [like right down to the underwear :lol:].. but then I kinda grew up..

Now it's just same jeans, shoes, singlet top, jersey and jacket..

BUT in saying that I couldn't find my white singlet top last weekend so I didn't wear one and panicked the whole time before the game, then a couple of weeks ago mum washed the white jacket I used to take to all the games so I had to take a different one that week.. I've stuck with the same jacket and just take the white one to Wenty games

Now I dunno whether to wear my singlet top this weekend :lol:
