people said the same thing in 2005 which was the last year Parra made the Flegg grand final sure they lost 30-20 but most people were thinking it would be 30-0

I'm fully expecting the Panthers to win, but I think it will be a lot closer then some people are predicting

I know it means little but the Eels 2005 Flegg side

1 - Michael BASAN
2 - Krisnan INU - 1st grade for Parra, test for NZ
3 – Ben FARRAR - 1st grade for Cowboys
4 - Thomas MacGOUGAN
5 - Simon MICALLEF - Test for Malta
6 - Blake GREEN - 1st grade for Parra
7 - Chris LAW
8 - Weller HAURAKI - 1st grade for Parra
9 - Matt KEATING
10 - Craig HESLOP
11 - Valu NASIO
12 - David WILLIAMS
13 - Kurt SORENSEN
14 - Scott JONES
15 - Tim WYNN
16 - Broderick WRIGHT
17 - Justin WOOD

Keating (Parra) and Sorensen (Knights) will have a good chance of playing 1st grade in 2008

Jarryd Hayne was also in this side until the Grand Final but got promoted to Reggies when Petersen was unable to play due to 1st grade not making the GF

aside from the fact im a proud westie helps but they are a top shelf side, its impossible to watch them play and not respect what they have achieved and what some of players in that side will achieve... we didnt at all play to our strengths and our dangermen we're very quiet today but i doubt it have made a difference

Vili Faingaa for us was good today, but Wade Graham was best on the park imo, Waddell was also good for penrith, he kept Kose Lelei very quiet. And Mick Picker probably had his blinder a week early.

At 16 he is dominating Flegg, its scary to think how good this kid could be when he matures. Apparently his voice hasnt even broken properly yet.

I was out there and watched the game. Ill say now canberra didnt by any means play poorly, Penrith were as i expected might be the case, just too good. Very disappointing but thats footy. Well in penrith, id have been shocked if we won and id be even more shocked if parra get within 20 points of penrith

best flegg side ive ever seen tbh

Tbh this Penrith side is great but I might have them just behind the Roosters from a few years ago.;-)

Parra is by all means in with every chance to win the flegg grand final. Going on this years encounters with the two teams its going to be an epic battle with a very close scoreline!

That was a good side and I think this year they are on a par.

If you are watching the 2007 team for the first time look out for

Tapa Rea
Josh Davis
Trent Hodgkinson
Brod Wright
Tim Mannah
Marty Lewis
Baiteri (off the bench)

which side was that? I recall a roosters flegg side involving one Peewee Moke and Jermaine Ale which was pretty awesome, would love to see that side play this current penrith mob

The one that went UNDEFEATED all year on the back of Jamie Soward. Sadly none of that team really kicked on.

I remember it had Ale, Moke, Joe Williams, Soward...I can't remember anyone else. I mean a team to go undefeated is a great achievment and quite simply whilst I have seen this Panthers Flegg team and they are good...I just think that Roosters one was just a little better and being a Souths fan and hating the Roosters so much it hurts me to say that.

I had a great day there yesterday. It was a footy feast.

When i got there it was already 24-0 to the Panthers. It must have been not long after half time. They won 46-6 and it was a pretty strong performance. I thought that Masada Iosefa, Greg Waddell and Sam McKendry were some players who i noticed.

Bulldogs were a little unlucky to lose both their games. They dropped the kick off in Flegg and Parra scored in the next set. Tim Mannah stood out for Parramatta. And Ben Barba, David Tehuia and John Kite stood out for the Bulldogs. I thought the Bulldogs were going to win it but Barba was injured.

It was 14-all in the halftime of the Bulldogs/Parra PL match and i thought either side could win it. At won point a Bulldogs player made a great break and managed to get over the tryline but the referee ruled that he dropped the ball over the line. Parramatta scored soon after - it was 12 point turn around and really cost the Bulldogs the game. Weller Hauraki was the standout for Parramatta, along with Etu Uaisele and Tony Williams. Lee Te Maari and Matt Utai played well for Canterbury.

The Bears game was great (for me). Running onto the field at the end with 1000 other Bears and Souths fans and swamping the players was fantastic.

Not stupid at all, when you consider the results between the two teams this year. In each game, Canberra has jumped out to a big lead (22-6, 26-4 and 20-6). In two (trial and at the start of May), the Raiders had big ones, while in the other the Panthers came back for a narrow win.

Clearly, the Raiders have the measure of the Panthers this year and as such, should go on to win.

You clearly had no idea how good the Panthers were.

Hope your forcast for Kevin 07 goes the same way.
