Listen to Dave Mustaine (seeing as though Hetfield ripped him off on most songs on RTL), Diamond Head and Thin Lizzy - you'll hear the influence, he sounds nothing like Eddie Van Halen.
As for Ratt - The year 1985 is over that way dude :arrow:

Ratts best album was actually in 84, and their last album detonater was released in 91.....it too also went platinum.

Thin Lizzy :? , but kirk taps etc just like eddie....and most metal guitarists, they are Eddie clones, No disrespect.

Anyway thats my opinion anyway, may not agree, but my opinion means :arrow: sweet F/A.
