I had to laugh when those deadshits on Matty Johns didn't back us in, ten minutes after listening to the deadshits on Talkin Sport write us off (Tunks seemed to think we were on top because of an easy draw).

These blokes don't seem to realise we are the only team in the comp that has beaten Melbourne, Cows, Storm, Dogs and Raiders.

He's shown no loyalty at all to the club who showed him the ropes and gave him an opportunity. Sure money is always a big issue but he still has a year to run on his contract. Could have at least waited until the deal was up to explore his options instead of walking out on the game completely.

You're right. I guess we've just seen this team collapse SO MANY TIMES over the years, or some other terrible misfortune befall us, that most Sharks fans are waiting for the other shoe to drop and hit us in the back of the head.

(I can still remember being at Shark Park the night we destroyed the Roosters only to have Greg Bird accused of glassing his girlfriend a few hours later.)

Did you feel the air go out of the stadium on Saturday night when the last minute Ennis grubber didn't come off? Everyone expected us to get rolled in golden point.

This feeling will last until we dominate a few games (not just against Newcastle) and really play like front runners. Until then, everything we have achieved will still seem like luck.

Agreed. But compare the emotions of the average Sharks fan to a Bulldogs/Broncos/Roosters fan. Years of success has built an air of confidence in other fans that we don't have.

How the f**k does he get to play for Australia but can't play for NSW or Qld. What state or Territory does he represent?

If we go by the current ladder then we have beaten 6/7 of the other top 8, which we can rectify this weekend, if we go by Parra having points taken we have beaten 7/7 of the top 8.

Just checked the points table & the Broncos are down to outright 7th, just 2 points in the 8, albeit with the Eels to (eventually) drop out & with a superior for / against compared to all the teams below them.

Hope they keep losing!
