No, but Radradra isn't the first and certainly won't be the last. Origin is just another financial and career advantage for choosing Australia.

To be quite clear, I'm not saying someone like Hayne *should* choose Fiji over Australia. The key is that money shouldn't be so overwhelmingly the deciding factor.

Money wouldnt be a factor if a annual Pacific Cup was played on Origin weekends

The other issue is the TV money for a Tonga v Samoa game needs to go to Tonga and Samoa RL

Not a freebee match for PayTV where NRL collects the cash

A good start would be adding a Pacific Cup decider for the winners of the Pacific tests. The winner then gets to host an end of season game against NZ.

Of course money needs to be looked at as well but adding little incentives like these a big step in the right direction, every game is for something.
