I have heard certain rumours around town that Luke Priddis may be leaving the club.

I hope this isn't true because Priddis is irreplaceable and we need him.

If you guys lose Priddis, it will be a great blow to you.

Priddis has always slotted in perfectly at Penrith. Here's hoping you guys keep him.

Brad Drew is off contract at the end of this season.

If, heaven forbid, Priddis leaves the club, how about bringing Drew home??

Re-signing Priddo should be the number 1 priority.

He is a very big contributor towards our resurgence in the past 2 years.

God i hope thats not true. We need to re-sign him and that would be our main priority at the moment one would think. We will see what happens though.

Big Panther Cool, i dont think we would need Brad Drew, he does nothing but kick field goals.

Actually i haven't been following Drew much since he left Penrith. But doesn't he sit out and warm the bench a bit? Isn't he hot and cold? Any don't worry peeps I get that tin rattling for Priddo! :D And no, sadly I have not had anything to drink tonight. :?

But seriously...losing Satts was a blow. Losing Priddis will gut us.

I'd much prefer to keep Priddis as well. 8)

But I also remember the bad old days in 2001 when many Panther fans were calling for the blood of the Panthers Board when we let Drew go to Parramatta, and the ensuing tremendous season he had with that team. (Wasn't he their player or buy of the season that year??)

There were even rumblings and groans from some fans who criticised the signing of Priddis when we had Drew in our grasp a season earlier.

Remember, Drew was a great player at Penrith - the only problem was that Gower was playing hooker at that time.

I couldn't see him out of place in a Panthers Jersey once again.

Yes i remember that too BPC. But what I also remember is Drew being dropped for a time after his blistering form in Canberra. Which is what I am referring to being hot and cold. I was hoping a Raider fan could enlighten us more on Drew's form.

Joel is actually a Penrith junior (Riverstone), who played lower grades at Parramatta before being released, and coming back "home".

The Rumour:

He is going to the roosters to replace Fittler. Play hooker and Wing at Five-eight.

Because they don't think they'll get johns, lockyer or Orford.

If he goes to the roosters, that'll do me.

The only reason i could see Priddis leaving Penrith is for a change of position maybe ... unless something has drastically happened within the club after the G/F i remember reading an article about him and he was fearing the same thing that happened to Satts, so the feeling I got was that he wanted to stay and be apart of Penrith.

Questions that remain unanswered for me are:

Was other players considered more `high' priority than him? If so, maybe this has pushed him to look elsewhere.

Could it be due to a considerable paycut to what he was originally on? Again that would push him to look elsewhere and see what his worth is on the market.

If money was a factor ... and depending on how much cutting was involved then you would think England would be a high option there. Surely other clubs wouldnt be able to offer much more than what he will get with Penrith!

I haven't gotten out to watch the lower grades much this year ... does anyone have info on any bright young junior that either plays Hooker or switch to Hooker?

Doing that though we are starting to unbalance that mix we had of senior and rookies. Although the rookies will be looking at 3 years experience but will that be enough?

Lots of questions and I imagine some worrying thoughts for our Coach.

But remember a couple of years ago there were rumours Gower and Girds were leaving us and heading to the Roosters? Well that didnt happen did it. I hope we can re-sign Priddo.

Yeah exactly, there were rumours galore about Gower and Girds going to the Roosters, but it never eventuated.
