Priddis wants to come to Cronulla

Priddis is one of the best hookers in the comp but I am gald we are not trying to sign him.

He wouldnt help our penalty count either.

Where is Caine off too, SE. We have two `elder statesmen' in the jobs at the moment but gee we've lost quite a few younger blokes because of that. I'd hate to lose Caine too. He looks the goods.

The guy has been instrumental in 2 Grand Final wins. He was mentioned in the past 1 or 2 seasons as a Kangaroo possibility.
Seriously, you don't sign him for his dummy half service or the fact he can stick his head in a scrum, you sign him for the impact he makes over 80 minutes in the middle of the ruck. The guy is a warrior who knows how to play in big matches.

I'd have no qualms about him playing anywhere in the forward pack.

Latu isn't a hooker option anyway. He needs to be playing wider in the backs somewhere trying to get one on one with someone. Switching him and Kinga weakens our team.

Pridis maybe near the end whilst Kingston and co. are starting out but ...fugg, Pridis is one hell of a player. Why cant we work on getting a squad who can win us a comp now or next year, not in five years. If we could win just one comp I wouldnt care if we came last for the next five years after it.

If you look at it this way surely Pridis would be the preferred option.

I'd have to agree with Ghotti, given the money he would cost us and also the possible long term loss we may suffer, I don't think in this particular case the benefit is worth the cost.

I hate to say it to because I really do rate Priddis, and he wasnt asking a kings ransom to sign, just 2 years on solid first graders salary.

But I rate Kingston a solid 7 with Priddis a 8.5 for a short term only. There are way bigger deficiencies we need to address first then see how the cheque book is holding out.

I think Penrith are quite possible deranged letting him go.

Replace Vagana with a hooker? Bizarre.

Whilst Priddis is a very good player, we lack outside backs not hookers. Wasting even half of Vaganas 350k on more forwards would be a step in the wrong direction.

Priddis is a class act he is 29 years, so would have 2 years left, so it would probably be best to not sign him, but we should keep a good look out panther way, he is first wanting out with Elliott coming in, Elliott has already got Paul, he signs old players eg Jason Smith and Adamson that time, off contract at Panthers is Frank Pritchard now there is a player we can do with
