Bartman, your comment about the age is interesting - surely we arent likely to get any hard hitting, big bopper forwards from NYC that are big enough or old enough to handle NRL. Thats what Wenty should be for. The 21-23 year old Mannahs, Wrights, Horo's etc..
Oh for sure. I wouldn't think U20 age props have reached tehir potential or would stand up too well in firsts as a general rule.
Hagan has gone on the record (this week?) saying he doesn't see much scope for people to step up from U20s, as the step to firsts is too big.
Which begs the question which has been asked... what to the young Wenty forwards outside the top 25 squad have to do to get a step up? Is Hagan just running a top 25 suqad under this new structure, and only giving players an opportunity to get into that when faced by necessity of injury? Seems like it...
Can't believe that is all the head coach is doing, seemingly having little input across all levels of the club, and not making pathways for development. Or has he seen these guys and made his first and final judgement on their abilities for better or worse (which seems just as bad)?
