Sick and tired of subpar performances by Tyrrell, Lowe, Clark and McQueen. As much as I like them they are just not up to standard. Need a mini cleanout imo at years end.

Sutton has probably torn his bicep he said.

I don't think Madge will play Carter yet.

If Sutto isn't right to play I think McInnes will come onto the bench and unfortunately McQueen would have to start even though he doesn't deserve to start.

yeah depends if madge wants to go with 4 forwards on the interchange. he could put clark or lowe on the interchange

Subpar performances by Tyrell, Lowe, Clark and McQueen is correct but all of them have gotten new Souths' contracts in the last 12 months so will be around for a lot longer. Sam Burgess was able to cover for these guys but I reckon he will stay in rugby for the next 4 years or so

Souths need to find some quality middle forwards but it will be too late to sign any for next year even. I cannot see the team being improved till 2017 at the earliest

Clark, Lowe, Tyrrell and McQueen are really struggling.

I'm disappointed in them tbh alien.

Lowe is most likely retiring.

There has been rumours that we are shopping McQueen around. In fact I don't think McQueen will be with Souths next year.

Tyrrell and Clark will be with Souths next year.

If your talking about players putting in sub par performances this year, the first people who should be put under the spotlight is the twins. Their constant mistakes, many unforced, is putting the team under constant pressure. Lowe, Clark, tyrell and McQueen are there to do a simple job, and get through the shit work and they've been generally doing that. They aren't the flashiest players. The twins are on big money, and are supposed to be our forward leaders, George is one of the comps best paid props, and are there to give our team some X Factor but instead we are getting error after error.

That's a fair assessment.

The last 2 weeks George hasn't knocked the ball on and has made about 150m on both those weeks. George is lifting his game imo. George made 37 tackles last night with 0 missed.

Tom in comparison the last 3-4 weeks is really struggling compared to George. He is knocking the ball on too much. He made a couple of breaks last night but has been poor apart from that.

Clark making 5 for 41 m last night isn't good enough. In most games Clark plays he doesn't make more than 40m which is a big problem.

Tyrrell has been down on form and has been struggling to make more than 60m-70m a game.

McQueen just goes missing on the field too much. McQueen doesn't make enough metres. In most game McQueen only makes about 60-70m. McQueen keeps giving silly penalties away regularly too.

Lowe gets through a heap of work in defence but is slow in attack. Imo Madge has Lowe there to get through 30-35 tackles and knows Lowe won't offer anything in attack.

Imo McQueen, Tyrrell, Clark aren't doing enough of the shit work they are all under performing and making zero impact.

Actually on McQueen again he has 1 good game every 5 weeks which is unacceptable.

Souths have won 9 from 16, exactly the same as last year. My team suffers blood letting in our forum when we lose too but you cannot win every week. You encountered a team desperate for the win, and prepared to do whatever it took, and your side didn't even need to win to maintain the position they were in this time last year.

Yep Penrith fully deserved it and wanted it more. Penrith executed their plays and Souths didn't.

Souths won't make the top 4 this year though as we don't have Sam or Te'o who were very very good in the run home last year. Souths are lacking a forward with grunt.

Geez that Cartwright was very impressive last night.

Do you support Penrith???

Souths are getting up for the games they should - like a Roosters, Warriors, Saints, Manly or Dogs.

However for games against the Gold Coast, Tigers, Panthers and Canberra, where they should beat them easily, they are down on effort and look lethargic, disinterested.

I also think that these 'lower' teams are revving up to take on Souths to knock them back a peg or two.

How many tries were held up last night by 3-5 defenders coming in and extinguishing any chance of a Souths try? 3? 4?

Holes in defence too.

We also missed GI last night. Our whole season has seen players in and out AND like it affected previous premiers, with added expectation to be great the following season along with the other things - WCC, Rep players, player losses (T'eo, Auvava and Burgess have been big losses IMHO) as well as injuries to key players throughout the season (Sutton, Luke, Walker, Reynolds).

That said, Souths look to playing tempo footy, just aiming for the finals. I also think the comp is much more even than people give credit. The Tigers, Raiders and Panthers in particular put in excellent attacking and defensive efforts against us and should be commended AND applauded. Last night the Panthers were hungry. Souths have to match that. We're in a decent position and in decent shape. They have key games coming up and Souths need to be focused and ready or it will go pear shaped.

Finally, a few Souths blokes are stale. McQueen, Lowe and even Tyrrell at times look tired. Our back line lacks spark as well.

I'm not head in the sand pretending there aren't issues, but I'm not razors to the wrists...yet.

Should be an interesting last 8 rounds for sure. As long as we make the 8, there's still a tilt for a title but we have to keep those hungrier teams at bay.

I expect to see the same 'almost first graders' getting a run. Running the same boring old game plan.

Guys like Lowe, McQueen, Reddy, Clarke. Someone passed the ball to Clarke coming on the burst, ten metres from the Penrith try line, gees I nearly fell off the lounge, no one should ever pass Clarke the ball ten metres from the opposition try line. He got tackled eight metres short. Christ I laughed, tried to replay the game so I could see who the fool was but the game was live.

I gotta think Reynolds' leg is not right and I think McGuire has Keary running all the attack because AR is just so 'out of it'.

Boy I'd like to see some one new in the team like maybe Carter.

When Johnston has filled in as fullback he hasn't scored a try for Souths or stopped a try being scored against Souths - some fullback.

Some said give McInnes a 'run on' start. I say give him the flick and give Cody Walker a start. Haven't ST George dodged a bullet with this guy Mcinnes.

Yeah I feel sorry for him too.

He tries hard but isn't playing as well as last year.

I don't think Tyrrell is big enough to be a prop with the way the game is these days. Maybe it's a tough call but that's what I think.

Tyrrell gets pushed back so much in tackles.

Tyrrell has great heart though and credit to him for getting out there every week and doing his best.
