Credit to Mary. He had a lot to do with getting those players up. Clearly no issues within the camp as some half baked Twitter journos continue to claim.

I stand now as a proud St George Illawarra Dragons supporter!

Very proud, i was cut when we lost but at the same time so happy, very mixed emotions. I do not know how we nearly pulled off one of the biggest upsets, still stunned.:(;-):)

just ignore dino and his side kick objective they are not supporters of the club.

No they're not. They sit anonymously behind their computer screens & whinge. Pretty sad really. Don't have many on-line friends & bet they don't have very many real friends either!

Salute to Saints , they really put in for the whole game.

victory was missed due to field goal kick from Widdop that leaving the boot most likely needed less than a cm adjustment to send it between post.

A might effort and great way to bow out for 2015. I am hoping I can say the same for Souths.

Merrin is no game breaker will not loose any sleep when he goes....

Have to agree, in a game when our blokes absolutely busted their arses to get within a whisper of winning I thought Merrin could have put in a bit more effort particularly in the second half....still think hes overrated and not worth any where near the money he was asking....hes now a Panther so like Morris lets move on...after last nights effort looking forward to 2016

I think they have covered the loss of Merrin as De Belin really stepped up this year.

Sure he isn't the big time game breaker but he is consistant he doesn't throw the stupid pass like Merrin tends to do or go missing as much as Merrin has.

Add to that keeping Mathews was a good decision and you could see they missed his defensive work.

Tyrone McCarthy will add some nice depth and if they do get Ikahihifo he is a guy who is only 24 and has lots of improvement within him.

Also Jacob Host and Hame Sele this two young guys are the future of the club especially Host he is really really good.

I really like Host I have watched him a few times he runs great lines with no fear what so ever and he's quick for a big guy to.

Host, Sele, Gallagher, Lawrie, Kavanagh, Jurd and Tate all very good young guys who will have benefited playing at a higher level this year.

Just want to add my 2 cents whilst the loss is was disappointing you can't be to heart broken know we gave it our all and left nothing in the tank.

Not to mention we had 2 halves on no legs, 2 players on the bench and came within a whisker well done boys.

Also want to tale my hat off to Nabuli, Marketo & Dugan thought they were out best 3 last night.

Marketo was awesome last night. On that kind of form hard to see him not being in the 17 next year. Creagh also played his best game in a while.

I thought Merrin was missing in the match. he had a couple of hail mary offloads but other than that didnt fo much. DeBelin, Frizell, Cooper, and Marketo. That game was built on those four. AhMau had some good runs as well. They played the best I have seen this year. Aitken was good as was Dugan and Nabuli. They should really be getting him to change his mind about union. His try was as good as I have seen Morris score in the past. Sheer determination.

Widdop, Marshall and Dugan controlled the game and had Marshall not been injured who knows what the final score would have been.

I was proud of the effort they put in last night. It was as good as I have seen in recent times. They all wore and respected the RED V. Good job lads against the odds.

I am not going to mention the Bullgrubs tactics and play as it would only detract from our effort.

In a word "awesome"

Very proud of the playing group.

Jake Marketo stood his ground despite giving away many kilos to the Dogs pack.

JDB, Frizzell, Rein, Duges, Widdop standouts.

Rest of the boys were equally courageous and gave 100%.

Well done guys against all the odds.

Had the commentators squirming and Hasler ready to have a cardiac attack !

Bad luck Saints, you really tried your guts out and I was cheering for you all the way (I really really hate the dogs lol). All the best and congrats on a super effort.

If JDB covers for Merrin, who covers for JDB.

Straight Shooter

Marketo, Matthews, Masoe, this new Irish guy, Cooper (given Packer will be in the team next year) and maybe one or two young guys coming through. How many more would you like?
