Proud of the boys today.

last year and past years we would have just given up after the start we gave the snot machine.

Also impressed with the fact that Moltzen and Tiquiri had average games, but the rest of thr team stepped up.

Heigno played his best game in a while, as did Farah and how was Fults!

Given that this was the kind of game we would have historically lost, its a great win.

yes, impressed with the win, but given the fire power of other sides, should we give up that lead, we will get torn a new one!

having said that, its 3 wins from 4 and things look good from a top 4 possition. So long as we keep fighting and build a platform for later in the season

Really? I thought Tuquiri played really well, close to man of the match actually.

Great game, especially great because I had the Tigers to win by 4+ haha
. Go the Tigers!

I think Moltzen is going well - set up a couple of nice line breaks. He will only get better imo.

Moltzen is just what the team needs. Most of what he brings just allows Marshall to play to the best of his abilities but he can also provide some classy assists of his own.

We're now 7/7 with him at halfback.

Was it Moltz who threw those lofty passes out to the back-line - the first of which Benji dropped cold towards the ends of the first half?

I dunno, I thought that was so far, our worst match yet.

It's great that we won, but seriously, our defence was crap from start to finish and we scored tries from big risk plays and good fortune/Canberra's poor attack in the second half.

If Canberra didn't lose that ball which Tuqiri scooped up and set up Benji's try right on half time, and if that no name Canberra bloke who threw a pass to Row M when he had an unmarked player on the wing with the line wide open in front of him, had got the pass to him cleanly, then we lose the game.

We didn't win the game, Canberra lost it.

All good points, but I can't agree with you about our defense. We lifted our game in the second half and a lot of Canberra's troubles in attack came from a change of attitude in defense. It was the kind of stuff that could rattle Canberra, but I doubt we'd get away with it against some of the better sides...

If they'd kicked that penalty goal.
If they hadn't dropped the ball twice on the fifth.
If Moltzen's pass to Farah didn't stick (looked like a Raider got a hand to it - was pretty touch and go...)

Then again, if Marshall had've followed Farah out of dummy half...
If Lawrence had've passed back inside to Tuquri...

Lawrence's try was all class, and from there we were unbeatable.

You gotta give our boys a wrap. Last year we'd have come close but given it away with ten to go. Anyone remember that early game against Penrith?

Our defence was flat footed in the first half.

In the second half it raced up fairly erratically, I will admit though, with good effect, but still the tries canberra scored were waaay too soft.

Yeah I think the whole game was a bit of a worry. Pretty well all our tries were length of the field specials. I'd love to see the stat of how many times we were tackled in the Raiders 20 in the first half. I'm guessing not too many at all.

Our defence is still a massive issue. We need to get up off the line quickly like we did in the Eels game. We might get caught out here and there but it's the best style for us I reckon.
