Well the 2004 forcasts are out
Here's what EA predict, predictions are normally a reflection of the past.
EA, whose estimates for hardware and software sales are closely watched as a barometer for the industry, forecast calendar 2004 North American hardware sales of 7 million to 8 million units for Sony Corp.'s <6758.T> PlayStation 2.
The company also forecast sales of 2.5 million to 3 million units each for Microsoft Corp.'s (nasdaq: MSFT - news - people) Xbox and Nintendo Co. Ltd.'s <7974.OS> GameCube.
For Europe, the company forecast 2004 hardware sales of 7 million to 8 million PS2 units and 1.5 million to 2 million units each of the Xbox and GameCube.
So looks like another year the PS2 will dominate in sales, in Europe and the USA..............in Japan we have already established the PS2 owns aswell
For u Xbox fans - this news is not good if you want your machine with NASA specs to survive.........as I assume you'll have 1 more generation (Xbox2), then the Gates will give up & pull out....he HATES coming 2nd.
