Btw, EA... I noticed in that other thread you said you've never played Ocarina of Time. You really need to check it out, buy the Gamecube CD edition on Ebay for like ten bucks and play it through the Wii, it's just too good for words.

I'm, not into console games mate. Can't be arsed mucking about with that joypad thing. If I can't use a PC mouse, I aint playing it.

The last thing I played on a console was Bowling on the Wii, before that was Buzz and before that it was Alex Kidd in Miracle world. lol

My lad might have played it, he's friggin played everything else, I'll ask him tonight.

The only game I play these days is AOE2, Conquerors expansion.

mate.. i've played so much heroes i can't begin to describe. i've been playing since the original (imho heroes 2 is the best of the series). tbh i don't find it as fun since they've gone 3D with the series.. seemed to take something away from it.

have you checked out the new HOMM MMORPG they're planning on releasing? apparently it's played in a browser and can be played even if you only have 10 minutes a day to spare. i'm quite intrigued to say the least.

i have no problem with any of them tbh, it's quite balanced.

my faves would probably be tower, dungeon and necro... in that order.

...Any word on a new Silent Hill game for either?! The RE and SH games are the two that will have me upgrading. Until then I'll stick with the PS2/Cube combo

Nintendo should be paying me a commission! I've thrown a few "Wii & Drinks" parties over the last couple of months since getting one for Christmas - and everytime I've thrown one, word gets back that at least one of the party goers end up buying one.

It's been said to death in this thread, but the fact that the Wii appeals to everyone makes them the most popular in my opinion. Sure the graphics are "cartoony" but then again, Space Invaders or Pacman were never oil paintings. What matters most is the gameplay, and Nintendo have this covered with its unique remote.

Even my mother (who is turning 59 this year!!) easily spends an hour playing Wii Sports Bowling. Dad (who's slightly older) is getting back into some sort of exercise routine by playing Wii Sports Boxing for just under an hour. I could never get them playing Call of Duty or Splinter Cell!!

As for 360 / PS3;

PS3 will have more longevity, and in the long term is a cheaper option than the 360 since Live costs $80 a year, not including battery packs, wireless adapters etc. that come standard in the PS3. That said, the 360 has a better library at the present, but if you're into "casual" games there isn't much for you there. Also the 360 is very unreliable but the warranty has been extended to cover that.

You'll have more fun with a 360 now, but that won't be the case come October / November. Not to say the 360 is suddenly going to hit a wall, but the PS3 has some really amazing things due by then and the 360's 2008 line-up is looking pretty skinny.

I hate people who give a sh*t what console you have, normally nerds but they are just losers. Its just for fun, some people like different things.

Wii to me looked sh*t and i used to bag it but now after playing it i am thinking about getting one, what it lacks in graphics and detail it makes up for in creative. Having the Wii basically like having an arcade system in your living room.

So ill probably have a Wii and a Xbox 360 and my previous system before those were a PS2, go figure.

I just find it interesting that you always pop up to suggest a Wii to people who aren't interested. Kinda like a guy who pops up to suggest a scooter to someone who can't decide between a BMW or a Mercedes.
