Purple Cheaters, they started it in 1999

Of course there wasn’t ANY correlation between News Limited employee, Bill Harrigan, and the NRL.

Nor was there any link between him, a News Ltd. “creation” (that had to be successful) and Rupert Murdoch.

Match fixing hasn’t been proven to be rife over the ages either.

Please.

Why do this and put us through it again. Just cant change the result?
Essentially so the dislike of those purple cheaters never abates.
A bit like bumping a post
We need to remember......

And I am hoping we can start a class action to have the result overturned, there are enough of us.....

The only problem with the video (besides Mundine’s stuff up) is that it doesn’t produce proof why the penalty try shouldn’t have been given, instead showing repeatedly Ainscough hitting Smith high around the throat region.

And I would’ve preferred a better angle apropos the forward pass leading to the Tony Martin “try”. Mind you, even from front on, the pass looks a mile forward.

Can we also forward a class action against the SCG Trust for failing its Gold Foundation Members too? I’d be in on that.

When choc dropped the ball over the line, where was he hit by a purple cheater?
In the head area.

Penalty try.

The post match scenes are ones that have scarred me for life. I felt absolutely shattered for the retiring players that went through their entire career without a premiership. For us fans we have 2010, but for those players it will always be the one that got taken away at the last minute.

Yes however, he should have passed.

By memory, we played the Sharks the week before and were behind before Choc carved them up.

Maybe he should have passed, but other than the head hit, he would have scored. Things can happen when you pass in that situation as well. A tough one.

I remember walking down the stairs at that game and some chunky little storm supporter had made the "L" sign with his fingers and had it up on his head poiting at me in my Dragons jersey singing "Loser, Loser, Loser". The kid would have maybe been 14 or 15, I had my fist clenched and really had to restrain myself from knocking him out, it was just devatsting to lose a GF like that and to have some little shit rub my face in it I was ready to belt him, but he was a kid so I just kept walking.

I never forgot that kid, and it brought a great smile to my face in 2010 when those cheaters were stripped of premierships to think of that kid, I hope he was crying in his weatbix.

Same.

We finally got 2010.

But not sending off Coyne, Mackay, McGregor, and Wishart as Premiership winners hurts.

Not to mention Ainscough, Barrett, Bartrim, Blacklock, Brown, Mundine, Timmins, and Thompson all never got to win a Premiership either.

f**k 1999.

He could have passed it and it could have been a knock on, in which case we'd be saying "he could have gone himself". But, all we know for a fact is, he went himself and he dropped it. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, knowing what we know now, we'd change any single moment that could change the result, that one stands out the most.

What about the decision to let Fitzgibbon walk to the Roosters. That haunted us.
