The Sharks will give it a miss this year.
We'll play a trial early in the new year to see if we have a competitive team or not and we'd play against any team who wishes for a run.
Thanks.

It'll be OK quinny... one way or another there'll be another team.

You just get your team ready for Sunday week. The Bluebags are going to teach you guys an F7s lesson. :D

The F7s committee will be meeting over the Christmas - NewYear holidays and from that, teams will be selected for the 2007 competition. Please note that I'll have a non-voting role in the committee and will only vote in the event of deadlock. So I'm not the person to impress. The committee is made up of F7s referees, captains and senior participants, and they will be the ones who decide as to which teams gets the invites.

Naturally I want to see a strong competition next year and I urge all newcomer teams and those teams who battled a little in 2006 to take part in at least two trials between now and January. Its important to note that there are no guarantees that you'll get the nod from the committee. The best way to ensure a favourable vote is to show that you can compete with five players under F7s conditions.

The PVPs is an excellent opportunity for this and I strongly recommend that you participate. It doesnt matter if you lose... just get a team of players in there and show that you're willing to have a go.

Sunday 3rd December - Wednesday 13th December 2006
Round 1 of the PVP
Confirmed:
Ninjas v Bluebags
Panthers v ?

Sunday 17th December - Wednesday 27th December 2006
Round 1 Winner v Winner: PVP Shield
Round 1 Loser v Loser: PVP Plate

Of course, the PVPs are not crucial. If you wish to play your trials later, let me know and referees will be arranged.

Cheers and good luck.

I think a fairer system would be Bluebags vs Panthers, winner goes to the better shield/trophy game. Loser would then play winner of the battler division (CNTDN vs Lions).

The loser of the batter game can play a Forum 7's allstars or something.

Im just scared of the Bags is all :(

I'm sure the Lions won't go easy on you. ;-)

But remember, its not about winning - its about getting 5 posts in and enjoying yourself in F7s conditions. THAT'S what the F7s committee will be looking at. Winning isnt as important as having a go.

If you are to compete in the F7s comp next year, you'll have to play all the teams, including the Bluebags and Panthers. And to be honest, I just thought it would be good for you guys if you showed that you could mix it with one of the 2006 finalists.

But no worries, if that's the general consensus and the Panthers and Lions are OK with it, then we'll do it anyway you like. We still have time to make a final decision - other teams might come in yet.

Thank you Timmer. Looking at it, you're probably right.
To think, I could have gone on for years without knowing that.

Nah I'm looking forward to the battle with Willow, CNTDN have awesome spirit. One man teams don't tend to win.

CNTDN have a love and respect for each other that will get us through good times and bad. Plus the 3 members that played in other teams last year did pretty awesome in the BP rankings.

God I hope CNTDN arent the Danny Green of the PVP, talking up crap for over a year, only to be dominated.

I agree with paulquinn's idea - but for an entirely different reason. As it stands at this stage, the Lions are going to struggle BIG TIME to get a team up and ready for this tournament. I have put the word out to all my team mates, and not getting many bites at the moment.

I accepted a spot assuming that I would at least get a few interested. Obviously I thought wrong!

Unless another team can fill the breach at the last minute, it may result in a re-formatting of this competition (again!).

Sorry to let all of you down! :(

OK, the object is to give some matches to the Ninjas and that shouldn't change. Round robin it is:

Sunday 3rd December - Wednesday 13th December 2006
Bluebags v Ninjas
Referees: Big Mick & Crusher

Sunday 17th December - Wednesday 27th December 2006
Panthers v Bluebags
Referees: Half & Master Vippo

Sunday 31st December - Wednesday 10th January 2007
Ninjas v Panthers

Referees: Goleel & ParraMatt

The top two performing teams (on a mini points ladder) will have the option to fight it out in the PVP final at a date to be agreed upon. The winner taking the PVP Cup, the loser taking the PVP Shield.

The third team that was knocked out during the round robin will get the PVP Plate (which is really just a prize for competing)

The referees
Let me know if I forgot anyone.

For these trials, there will be two referees for each match. The refs will post their marks independently of each other between full time and the following Saturday. They will do this without any comparing of notes beforehand. This is a total trust thing and I'm sure the refs will dothe right thing in that regard.

The totals will be added and divided by two (by an Admin) in order to get an average, this being the final total.

EDIT: Master Vippo ref duties swapped with Crusher
