Only a matter of time before Robert Toia earns a debut.

Game I could be too early but could see him coming into contention later in the series.

Just refuses to fix the little areas of his game that makes such a big difference.

The Maroons pack should be mobile enough to cover the backrow, just need somebody who can protect Cherry-Evans.

Ben Hunt will spend at least a month on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

David Fifita will undergo surgery on his troublesome ankle and is set to spend a month on the sidelines.

Beau Fermor and Kurt Mann are in the frame to make their debuts for Queensland.

Gilbert and Taulagi are out. Carrigan has a busted lip, but he's scheduled to get plastic surgery and should be right to play.

I'm not a fan of Dearden on the bench. It's the 'safe' selection, but Dearden's greatest attribute is his tenacity. I don't think he offers the same utility as Morgan did and at best he may provide a few show and goes.

Granted I'd still prefer him there over Hunt, but ideally I'd have rather seen him start with Munster. It would have been a big call, but I think Cherry's days are numbered in the Maroons and it's time to make that transition.

Big call to overlook Capewell but after Game III last year the right one. He's playing well for the Warriors, but Origin is a whole other beast and he was simply not up to standard.

Shattered about losing Gilbert. Between him and Flegler, it's a massive blow for the Dolphins and the Maroons.

I hope Slater brings Toia and Purdue into camp as well.

Sounds like Cobbo will also miss out with a fractured wrist.

Reports suggest either Robert Toia will come into centre with Holmes shifting to the wing.

Or Xavier Savage may come in.

Also reports emerging that Jesse Arthars has been selected in the extended squad.
