I feel so sorry for QLD supporters. How many more Origins do you have to suffer. Seriously when are they going to take a look at TATE and realise how bad he is. He is an embaressment to the northern state.

How could anyone be critical of Berrigan. He is in great form at the moment and was close to the best player for Qld in Origin One. Do people not understand that Qld need strong running players that can handle the NSW backs and provide us with go forward? Newsflash -Berrigan was far more effective for Qld in game 1 than *edit* , Tate , Bowen or Inglis and the majority of our forward pack.

Also on Scott Prince, he was 100 to 1 to ever play in this. Once the selectors and Meninga decided they wanted Lockyer at 5/8, Thurston was never ever ever going to be dropped. People are so fickle, everyone was demanding Thurston be picked for Australia and he was supposed to be the successor to Johns. Remeber Scott Prince hasn't one Qld a series either , and his performance in the Tri Nations was poor.

Why the hell are they picking him though do they expect a miracle. He is barely up to first grade standard these days and they select him for origin. I really think they just watch the Broncos each week think.. gee they are going ok have decent combinations lets just go with them. Origin isn't about simple footy.. it's about picking the players who can go to that extra level and looking at that team i'd say half of them can't really do that.

I hope QLD wins, just for the sake of the Melbourne game being successful, but I cant see it happening. QLd team is still ordinary. NSW by 30 this time.

Unfortunately injuries, suspensions & certain players out of form have come at a bad time for QLD this year.

Throw in Crocker & Ben Ross & an in form Ashley Harrison (circa 04-05 form) and QLD's pack looks very good.

QLD just don't have the depth of NSW.

If Hodges & Carroll are ruled out I think QLD will really struggle.

well who's won the last 3 origin series game 1 you pick some young guys lose buy one point and dump them!!!!!!! remember last year pick tonnie carroll under injury cloud then leave it till the last min he plays and does sfa as usual:crazy: and i'm on drugs we can beat you even with finch and anasta as our halves:crazy:

With Crocker, Ross, Carlaw and Costigan out of contention the second row was always going to be the problem. Carroll is NOT the answer. They should have picked Corey Parker - 40+ tackles per game for the Broncos lately, plus plenty of off-loads.

Not an impact player, but his hit-and-spin style makes just as many metres.

Who is going to give Queensland second phase play except for Justin Hodges if he plays?? No one can offload consistently throughout the side. Maybe Webb.

Without second phase play Lockyer will always struggle. With second phase play he's a champion.
