Do you know where he is exactly from? I heard northern NSW and has been playing in SE Qld the last two years.

Also isn't Dale Copley is too old?

It'll be interesting to see if that means that Chris Binge will play for Qld in the under 18s.

Copley is definitely eligible, born in 1991.

Boney is from Toowoomba & been playing there at least from 14yo.

Binge shouldn't be eligible for Qld under the origin rules.

Thanks for that ... though I did read that Boney played for a Gold Coast rep team last year, which is why I mentioned SE Qld.

This situation (and Cory McGrady) probably comes back to the comment made earlier in the year that Qld players in the SG Ball and Harold Matthews competitions can be picked for NSW.

Binge shouldn't be eligible for Qld under the origin rules.

My understanding is that the eligibility rules for 16's are different to18's.

18's is the same as Open Origin.

Korban Sims is born in 1992 making him only 17 this year. He played all of 2008 in Brisbane for Wests U16. Thats why he played Qld 16's.

Therefore he has not played in NSW since he was a 15yo and so he has to be in accordance with the rules a Qlder.

In any case on form Qld are in real trouble if he gets picked.
