Above is the link to the article. I heard about this on 9 news this morning.

Basically, I don't know which NRL club can afford him. There were 2 options which appear to be bulldust right now. The Roosters simply will not be able to afford him. His link to the Roosters was Sonny-Bill being his good mate, but with SBW at the Roosters commanding a ridiculous amount of cash, the chooks will have to shed a whole heap of players as it is, the simply cannot squeeze Quade under their cap.

Second team - Parramatta. Well they would've been an option until Prince Israel quit the Victorians and walks straight back into any NRL team he wants. With Folau, Hayne and Sandow on big dollars, the Eels cannot fit another big name into their team. Keep in mind the amount of money that's been spent paying out Kearney and co, the Eels need to mind their financial expenses, not just the salary cap.

Souths would've been 1 team I thought he could go to, with the release of big Dave T, but Souths wouldn't want him given how well Sutton and Reynolds did together this year.

Tigers would've been another though, but with Benji Marshall declaring he will not play Rugby (thank Heavens), and Braith Anasta on board, the Tigers are not short in the halves department.

I think the Broncos would be his best bet if they have salary cap room, but that's unlikely given they signed Scott Prince, which brings me to another option - the Titans. But I'm pretty sure they're close to the cap. What about the Warriors? Let's face it, Quade was born in New Zealand, and they did just lose one of their halves to the Roosters (James Maloney). Maybe they're a shot!

This all of course is if Japanese or French Rugby don't sign him.

Brisbane would still have cap space. Petero and Lockyer leaving with the only big name to replace them being Prince (and they got him for a bargain).

Just don't think they'd want Cooper.

Manager ploy, watch the ARU buckle and give him a guaranteed contract + incentives.

Yeah, they are going to offer the bloke they don't want a heap of coin.
The ARU will be glad to see the back of the parasite.

The only position you'd be able to play him is fullback, surely?
He'd be too much of a defensive liability anywhere else

Don't think any NRL would offer him what he wants. He was gonna get paid $400,000 just to play for the Reds next year without the Wallabies incentives and he wasn't satisfied so I can't see an NRL club offering him more

Well, this is a coincidence. I heard last night from a mate that the Tigers were interested. I brushed it off. After seeing this, it may have some legs.

Peter FitzSimons has it right:

Whether Cooper will be remembered at all, is a moot point. Personally, it would amaze me if his fragile brand of brilliance translates well to rugby league – can anyone see him stopping Paul Gallen on the boil? – and I am even more fearful for him in trying to pay the rent on his boxing skills. (Seriously, who came up with that idea?)

No, from this point, the most likely fate for Cooper is to send a sizzle reel of his “season-to-end-reason,” 2010, to Japan or the like, pick up a lucrative contract there and relatively quickly fade from view.

The man can't tackle ffs, how is he going to be anything other than a speed bump in League ?
I'm sure there is a team that needs another "trainer" to run on the field to give instructions or at the least an ugly cheerleader?

Wrong.

They are ditching him. They offered him an incentive based contract only. This puts him on a 'lowly' $400K a year. Poor Quade.

He's dug his hole by being a whiny bitch.
