I've seen nothing to not be impressed by both Josh Lewis and Jamie Soward, as Roosters or Titans/Dragons. The decisions by their clubs not to perservere with them defy belief. It's contemptuous.
In this competition, one of the major differences between Jarrod Mullen, Todd Carney AND Jamie Soward, Josh Lewis and Matt Head is faith. Confidence from their coaches. IMO all five of those players are potential halves superstars. Being a first grade half takes time, it doesn't happen overnight. It's a different intensity, it's not like premier league where you can step your way through and create tries. You have to organise a team like they are pawns in a game of chess. One of the things I see in halves who go all the way, or one's who don't is their kicking game. Some naturally have it, and others try but just don't have it. The ability to plug the corners, the ability to bomb accurately, the ability to chip to a flyer, the ability to sit a grubber in goal, the ability to put pressure on for a 40/20. Mullen, Carney, Soward, Lewis and Head all have that, as does Peter Wallace, they can all be pivotal players for their clubs for a long time to come, except seemingly at a club like the Sydney Roosters who display no faith to the player and a lack of understanding as to how long it truly takes a top half these days to develop into the end product.
