I'll stand corrected if a Webster or Woolf join the party but there is definitely an issue in this comp where a few coaches are actually elite enough to come an institute real change to win trophies. Even then they need full supprt and hungry directors/boards/sponsors...

Hook, Mary, Flanagan, Price...all different variations of the same things with different strengths and weaknesses. Nothing is changing... we can wait for some of these young guys to mature but it will all be wasted as it's very hard to get your hands on a Cleary or a Bellamy...

I am not entertaining this idea of sacking Shane but extending him is not necessary, and he needs to get real about his son for starters.

Next weeks selections will be interesting. Sua still likely to be out. Sloan will be back for CT, I don’t know what we do. Who comes in? Very depressing

We didn't just lose we were well and truly cooked allover the park. 50 is unacceptable and I hope Flanno doesn't try and downplay this performance. He has to accept some responsibility for this result it should not happen..Unless your team.has done an army camp 24 hours before a game there is no way you look as slow and lethargic as we did tonight.

The first concerning thing is the energy levels tonight. Not the same as the other games this season (and that also includes ANZAC Day). Even Gutho has had by far his worst game for us - a couple of handling errors and poor defensive reads at the back.

The second and most concerning thing has been Kyle Flanagan. No creativity in any aspect of his game. The Dolphins defence has been up in his face all night. I am all for Ilias being given another go to see how he can possibly combine with LKT. As others have mentioned, we need a stop gap until Kade Reed reaches the appropriate stage of his development. I'm also not sure Daniel Atkinson is the answer yet either...

...but the previous point is futile, because will the coach rifle his son?

Tonight was also telling in how much the pack relies on Jaydn Su'a as one of it's starting leaders & enforcers. Again, it's a broken record, we are still short of a quality first grade standard middle & edge forward. Our youth forwards, while progressing well, still need leadership around them as the development continues.

We won't be playing finals footy this year. The confidence has probably also been stifled now to the point where we might be back into the wooden spoon battle.
