What did he do? I'm getting pretty sick of him, too... although his involvement in McManus' try was first class. Hopefully after Origin he can get his mind back on the job.

Mason went up to him to talk/console him but he just brushed him away. Mason wasn;t impressed

That's my thought. I think after origin is over he'll be focused on us and playing finals footy. There is a buzz with us that we can beat any team, we can do it this year if we apply our best. I think Uate and Boyd will bring their best after origin is done with and it's road to the finals time.

Uate should be dropped for the rest of the year. Dreadfully out of shape and out of form. When was the last time he made a clean break?

No idea, but he is completely void of any mojo this year at all. He's not backing himself, there have been times where he could have put some toe on and tried to beat his man with speed, but he just never does anymore. He needs a kick in the arse.

After the game Boyd was probably still filthy with himself after that knock on, he probably blames himself for that Morris try.

I think people look for things to criticise him about sometimes. He didn't play amazing but had some nice runs from dummy half and set up Jimmy's try with a classy pass.

He had an average game but made 2 crucial tackles. One on Barba and one close to the line.

I still think he'll turn it around. He's not doing anything that is hurting the team lately either.

His knock on was awful and cost us the first try, but like Boyd, he's not going as bad as people are making out. McManus is obviously going great guns but he's also getting 95% of the quality ball.

It does seem bizarre to me that we have one of the best left to right passers in the game, yet we can't get Aku any quality ball.

Is Aku honestly playing that badly? He isn't breaking tackles at will this year, but when does he ever get the ball where he is in the situation to do so?

About the only involvement that he and Gagai have been getting this season is when they are taking a hit up or the kick return. Nearly all set plays have been shifted to the left. How many of Gagai's metres today would have been made from dummy half runs or taking a hit up early in the tackle count? Just about all of them I'd say.

against an out of form Tigers in the opening round this year. Since then, him and Gagai haven't been firing like they were last year (although Gagai got injured the following match and was out for several weeks)

boyd is doing a really good job at pissing off his knights supporters. If he would just run hard every match and get involved, none of us would care if he made a mistake. Look at jimmy, a few weeks ago he dropped a sitter that cost us the game, but we all fap over him because he just gives us everything.

1000%.

Reminds me of our round 7 match against Cronulla in 2007.

Bonus points for anyone who knows the reason why.

Ok, I'll answer my own trivia question! It was the game where Kirk Reynoldson bagged a double- Neville Costigan will be next, mark my words!

Boyd is dirty he is out of form i think. The good news is once origin is over and he gets over his homesickness,we will get a player who can certainly make us very dangerous in attack. I think he would be happier in Qld. Just wish he would own up to it so we can all move forward. Two years from now he can leave. I

I thought Darius looked like he'd rather be somewhere else today. Has done so for all bar a handful of the games he's been here ...

Boyd is one complex kid. I think he takes failure to heart. No excuse but he really plays to his mood. He needs a sense of humour.

In that recent Australian sports market research done by Gemba (the one where Cronulla were labelled the country's most deceitful club), Boyd was recognised as the NRL's most "fake" player.

I thought Gower was pretty ordinary at hooker today. Very slow service

It's no surprise we looked our most dangerous when Buderus was playing the opening and closing stanzas of the game. I can't see Gower holding his spot once Gidley is back in the side.

Something else I noticed - I thought Roberts was again very good today. The signing of Gower just might have been the tonic the kid needed.

Roberts was excellent.

Gower didn't have much to do, but he did alright. The markers we're pressuring our passes from dummy half all game I felt. That could have affected Gower a bit.
