Anyone heard what the situation is with Gidley? He could cause a real selection headache as I thought Gower was very sharp today and I think he'll only get better.

I didn't think we lost alot when Bedsy went off today and Gower showed with his try that he's still a fierce competitor and offers another dimension in attack.

4-6 weeks. Deal with that nightmare when it happens. We might need him by then.

The only thing missing from that try was a falcon by Naiqama in the lead up.

I thought he kicked the ball after it hit the ground so should have been ruled a lost ball?
No problems with the grounding by Newton, however.

Same here - commentators kept rambling on about it just touching his foot, but I reckon the slight deviation in ball angle is just the bounce from the ground.

Was tricky to call though as the video wasn't 100% damning, which is what they need I guess when its been called a Try by the on-field ref.

I think they got the call right for the Newton try to be honest. It was ridiculously lucky, but it was a try unfortunately.... The first one however! Wow

Something that impressed me with Snowden is how quickly he is now getting to his feet and playing the ball. He used to be a Sloth at that. Good on him for working on his game. He has said in the past he knew he had areas to work on to get in to form and he has done it.

I have said it before, but I am loving the way snowdens ball skills are progressing, he is like another 5/8 out there. He will pass the ball on atleast 4 or 5 times a game

funny watching the penriff press conference and seeing ivan trying to keep a straight face about the first try, then change the story by whinging about us getting penalties for the 2 knocks to rochows head.

Some thoughts,

The forwards are really going well, they make good metres regularly. Scott was great and had plenty of helpers. Bedsy was sharp and we lost nothing when Gower was on. The pack is looking really strong at the moment.

Nice to see Uate back scoring tries, he looks trimmer. We really do have a quality back line.

Kudos to Boyd, he was great and ran hard all the time.

Mullo was great, he really is playing great currently.

Nice to see the team digging and and listening to Bennett, they came out firing in the second half.

All in all great effort and it will do wonders for their confidence.

Finally, newton is a merkin, he did us a favour by leaving, a fraud of a footballer.

As sharp as Gower's looking at rake, he can throw some wild passes. I gather he didn't come here with the intent to play hooker, but he's nowhere near Buderus with his service. IMO a fast inaccurate pass can be as dangerous as a delayed one to the chest.

When did the Kade Snowden knees thing happen?

I'm trying to find it on the replay but haven't seen anything.

Agreed. Played well yesterday but his service isn't the best.

Still miles ahead of what Waddle gave us. I find it amusing how our fortunes have improved since that turtle was shipped back up to Queensland.

Waddle is the worst hooker I have seen in a very long time, I had the honour of watching him at every single raiders home game for a very long time and seeing just how long it takes him to pass the dam ball from the ruck is just shocking.

The fact that Tongue looked like Cam Smith to him says plenty.

We are fifth with the biggest game in two years since Bennett took over coming in six days time. We win Sunday I am going to start believing a little.
