Congrats to the boys and the coach Bennett refused to endorse.

I'm headed to the game next week so they better not stuff up. Hopefully the Titans don't turn around their crappy form.

Only a whole heap of other dumb things he's done to lose us matches. Remember the penalty kick that didn't go dead last year? Holy shit that was a pearler... although not strictly in the realm of "dumb", I suppose.

We are sooo much better with Clydesdale at Dummy half. He gets the forwards rolling and selectively links through the halves.
With anyone else at dummy half the backs step in. That *can* work to an advantage if it takes the load off the fwds and gives them some energy left at the back end but it leads to a game where we need to fight in the second half to win unless we convert field position into points early on and not make the errors we did tonight.
If Gids is on then keep him at fullback.
Mullen needs to be captain. He started acting like one later on.

Its putting the cart before the horse, but go up 3-0 and set up a huge game against Penrith at home.

I did hear on the radio today that the Titans are seeking to have their suspended players reinstated for next weeks game, so it could be a very different Titans lineup we play

Clydesdale had a long break at the end. Was he injured or was Stone just too scared to put Gidley back at fullback in the dying stages?

how bad did we look when the starting front row came off?

stone better not replace houston with newton

The gulf in quality there is immense. Tariq will alleviate things a bit, should get one of the derps out of rotation... but we're still at least 1 quality prop and some quality depth short in the forwards if Vai Vai, Tapine, Taylor and Mataora can't offer us anything. I can't possibly comprehend how they could be worse than Houston or Fa'alogo at the moment.

Nope never. A tiny little part of me wanted the kick to go over just to see Gids' face, just to highlight to the world what a joke he has actually become. How has he not retired yet? For such an experienced player he's still a mental liability.

Is it two more games til Tariq can play? Will make the bench so much better.

Can we talk about how tremendous Snowden has been so far this year? Seems to be everywhere in attack and defence, I'm going to rewatch that line break he made ten times.

Yep, this is the year of Snowden, and it's about time. Can't wait to see how he is going by mid year, absolutely devastating at the moment.

The axis of evil: Gidley, Houston, Fa'alogo.

We were diabolical with the ball, dumb as always, but our defence was pretty strong really and most importantly in these early stages we came away with the 2 points.

Snowden in space was hilarious. You could tell he'd had enough after a few seconds and wanted to pass it asap.

Stone is looking class. We don't have amazing players so he has focused on defence and fitness. We seem very solid in defence and we kept going the whole 80 while the cowboys gave up at their home ground. Really working to our boys strengths, instead of Bennett style and forcing a style that isn't natural for many of our players.

Furthermore, he took off Gids. Not an easy call to make 2nd game into the season. Right call, right time.

Houston and Fa'alogo need to be dropped. One of them will go for sure when Tariq comes. Korbin and Snowden were very good today considering how little the other forwards offered.

Mullen didn't have an amazing game but was instrumental. His kick off the scrum, went to support and spread the ball well. Both the other tries, the play broke down, he was there lurking around to set up tries. Doesn't look class compared to some other halves in the comp but is quality.

As much as we should take away any little positives we can... I'm not getting too excited about our goal-line defense tonight. The Cowboys were truly atrocious. They had to be to lose to us, and I'm glad that they were.

If we were playing the Roosters or Souths tonight, our goal-line defense would have certainly been exposed, and Fox Sports would have run out of space on the screen on which to fit their score.

I say we take the points and forget this ever happened.

Take the win and move onto next week.
It was one of those games when almost every player played pretty bad.
Snowden was MOTM

Stone needs to stop with this Gidley/Sione experiment.
He needs to make the tough call.
Randall needs to be on the bench.

It's time for
Faalongo and Houston to retire in NSW cup.
Blood some young forwards.
