The Adjudicator's verdict: "The Adjudicator loves a long-standing rivalry and I’m as excited as a kid in a candy store just thinking about this one. I love your thoughts on this one, too, Ian, but I want the gory details, what is it exactly that an Eagle wants to do to an Eel? Let’s hope Des has the forward pack as fired up as he did against the Tigers. We should expect some good old fashioned Sunday arvo footy. Could it get any better? I still can’t go past the Eels for this one, especially with no Brett Stewart for Manly, they’ll get over the line by 12."

LATEST COMMENTS FROM FANS
Eels fan Hayelz says:
"Daniel Anderson is still making the same mistake starting Fui on the bench but it seems that the Sea Eagles have forgotten how to fly for the full 80 mins. The Eels have great defence and once our attack gels together this week we'll clip the Eagles wings and leave them for dead. Eels by 18."

Eels fan Daniel says: "I think parra's forwards should. Dominate this game they did ok against the dragons despite hardly any possesion. Fui should be starting but the captaincy has saved cayless. Although I do think fui off the bench this week will make a massive impact."

Ian says: "Here we go again, with Manly and Parra, Parra’s well on top, but the gap is closing up! It just goes to show what an Eagle WANTS to do to an EEL!! Ian Eels from TSV suggests that now that Parra have lost 5 in a row, they will be determined not to take it easy on the Sheagles at home. They are good for the run last week, & the loss to the perennial dog trainer, should serve them as the required timely boot in the coit needed. Eels by 13+.?"

Looks like Hodkinson gets his chance today:

Quote "A depleted Sunshine Coast Sea Eagles have slumped to the first Queensland Cup loss of the year, going down to the Central Comets 32-18 at Stockland Park yesterday.
The Sea Eagles were behind the eight-ball from the get-go after halfback Trent Hodkinson was called into Manly’s NRL squad for their clash with Parramatta today."

From the Sunshine Coast Daily this morning.

Hey guys parra fan here.

just wondering if any manly fans thought manly should have lost that game.

i watched it live and clearly seen the forward pass but in saying that. Its an 80min game.manly were leading 20 nil at one stage surely you cant think that 1 call ended the game for you.Parramatta scored another try after that to win the match.

there were a couple of times manly were in front and never took the shot at goal or didnt score they had MORE then there chance of winning the match.

if i was told that parra can have a 20 nil lead but you will have a try go againest you late in the match i would take that 20nil lead every week.

every team has had bad calls.

its round 2 lead 20 nil manly lost the game.

Shouldn't have lost, for a number of reasons.

Did Parra deserve to win? They played like sh*t for 50 minutes compared to Manly's 30. The whole it's an 80 minute game thing doesn't really work when you look at it like that.

It's Thursday, round 3 starts tomorrow, move on.
