Dumping Roberts to accommodate Gidley would be the height of stupidity imo. You don't change a winning spine to accommodate an "incumbent".

The knights have won 3 out of their last 7 games, so I wouldn't put too much emphasis on us being a winning team. Yes 3 in a row is good and in the loses of late the team has played well. However do you remember that it wasn't very long ago that people were ripping into the team for not being able to win from behind in the second half? Surely the spine needed to take some responsibility towards that. Roberts has been going OK, but not outstanding imo. If Gower in the next couple of games demonstrates that he offers the team more opportunities then Roberts, then I'd happily move him to 7 and play Roberts in reserve grade.

NOTE: I am aware that Waddell was hooker during a number of those loses (if not all of them) and I'm sure he didn't have a positive impact on the team winning second halves.

Yes great idea play a club legend and a match winner for the knights in the nsw cup because there is no space for him in first grade because they are winning LOL.

That is why we are fifth and you are looking at Mad Monday after rd 26. We have the player depth to do that. Oh and a pretty decent coach who seems to know what he is doing. 7 titles from 8 starts.

Oh dam we should have done the same with Lockyer those times he was injured and we won a game LOL.

Yes I am sure Beno is going to play Gidley in NSW cup a club legend and rep player.

Please give it a rest.

You really are a muppet arent you. Gids hasnt been a match winner for us for quite awhile

SK didnt say there is not a FG spot for him, just that he'd prefer not to drop Roberts for him. Gids will come into the hooker rotation and Gower will likely make way.

Now just go away

Did you seriously just compare Lockyer with Gidley?

Gidley isn't even in the same stratosphere as Lockyer you gimp. Please go back to your pig farm.

Valid point mate. I'm a big Roberts supporter (as you all know) but I'll still readily admit he doesn't have a mortgage on the halfback position and he is still at large, a work in progress, especially with his kicking game because I think we're still far too reliant on Mullen in that department. He also needs to become more vocal, because from what I've heard about him he's still far too quiet out there on the field. Halfbacks aren't meant to be quiet.

I'm also convinced that if he continues to work hard at expanding his attacking game he will emerge as a very dangerous halfback for us in years to come. He's the best half prospect we've had since Mullen and I'm glad we've got Bennett on board to give Tyrone the confidence he needs to realise his potential. He has the passing game and I'm convinced he has the vision to play what's in front of him.

I'm of the opinion that Waddle was the primary contributor for our losses. The forward pack couldn't gain any momentum thanks to Waddles notoriously slow service out of dummy half and this in turn cut down on the time afforded to our play makers. Buderus comes back and all of a sudden our momentum returns. It all starts at dummy half. It is pivotal that Bedsy plays out the remainder of the season for us, touch wood.

Yes... Comparing Lockyer to Kidley...

You're missing the point. Lockyer was always the best player on whichever team he played for, apart from the times he played with Joey for Australia. Kidley is our captain but maybe not in our top 17 at the moment.

Broncos 2010.Since Wayne left the Broncs , they have hit the wall. We have now been placed very nicely. Hence my view, despite some early misgivings, that Bennett understands how to get us into title contention. Facts are the Broncos depth is nowhere near what it was. We on the other hand have two genuine halfbacks , (gower and Roberts) one of whom you think should be ditched to accomodate a bloke who hasn't played dominantly in two years. Gids is a dummy half or fullback. We have that covered right now. I have no doubt Gidley will be squeezed in when fit. I just don't necessarily agree with it while we are playing with a real edge in attack. Why change that.

Are you saying that you have finally matured enough to the point, where you don't come on this forum anymore and crap on about 'the broncos are better than the knights nah nah ni nah nah'. If so, good for you! :D

I doubt you know what day it is. It's always about your precious Broncos whether directly or indirectly. You are a troll. Nothing surer. A piss poor one at that.

Game day yay!

A positive I will take from working this arvo is getting to record the fox replay and not have to sit through channel 9's ads while watching it.

I'm still thinking we're in with a good shot.

Anyone know why Korbin is out of favour? I do not get why we bent over backwards to re-sign him if we have no intention of pushing him into a starting berth in years to come. If he is that erratic with his form that he would be overlooked for a lesser talent like Tetavano I have to question the wisdom of the signing. I mean Korbin was the hottest prop on the market three months ago given the bigger names were all under lock and key. Zane has been arguably the form prop in NSW Cup this year though.

He's only what, 20? 21?

He is our future pack leader, but right now there are other more experienced above him
