Surely I'm not alone in wondering how the f**k Travis Waddell still gets a run each week? If Clydesdale isn't ready, surely Hilder would still be a better option at #9?
I don't mind Waddell, he's been solid whenever he's played first grade this year. He's a better defender than Roberts or Clydesdale at this point. Doesn't offer a lot in attack and sometimes he is very slow passing the ball from dummy half but I think he's still a solid backup.

Waddell looks better this year because he is being compared more to Gidley and not Buderus.

I agree. We know what we're going to get.

As for Aku, he doesn't deserve his spot even if fit. The back three almost played faultless footy last week. Makes a big f**king difference when you're not handing the ball over on your 10m line and making good reads in defence.

His service has improved and he's more bearable than last year but there's that fraction of a second where he holds the ball up and seems to put our forwards off. I think Chow dropped the ball because Waddell's pass was basically on his shoulder against the Chooks.

His defence is quality though. Never had an issue with that.

With Sutton out injured and now Te'o suspended for Souths and Aku, Boyd and an out of form Mullen not playing for us, we're in with a real chance.

Still, please don't ever let us go back to the days when we ran out with sides like this one. Ploddy mcplod plod.

I would of thought so. Bennett has his favorites. Maybe Wodell gives good head

I would persist with Chanel. Aku should rest until fully fit. Gidley at 6 is fine although I would like to see how Dane would go if given more time there. He compliments Tyrone's game by not getting in the way and keeping it simple. It worked last week. Why change. Just saying.

Totally agree. I really liked the look of Gagai running the ball in space and not from dummy half. Sniffing around the ruck with explosive speed and power ain't a bad thing either. At this stage in the season I can't see why he can't be given more time there. His kicking game is unknown and his defence may be better in close. Lots of questions i know, but when he and Tyrone had the ball in their hands last week i was out of my seat.

Gagai was great at times when we gave him early ball. He isn't getting any ball in space at the moment.

Is Kade injured or has he been dropped?

He isn't playing for NSW Cup so must have picked up an injury somewhere. Fa'alogo starting and Tapine onto the bench.

Interesting to see Uate playing reggies in the centres with Tahu shifted into the back row. Stone trying to give him a bit more ball than usual?
