Everything in this game is what I want from Newcastle going forward. Good completion rate (80%), exciting football, ditching Bennettball and fairly solid defence. I think it's clear how important Smith is in that area.

Excellent performance.

We looked so good with the ball. Even in the first half our passing for the tries was bloody crisp. A game like that really hits home how much we will miss Cuthbertson but then again everyone was in on it today.

We had a lot of good players. Our outside backs were fantastic, even Gidley was very good when he doesn't dummy and run too often. Fa'alogo was great he can definitely have another year in my book. Rochow actually provided some impact with his runs and provided a lovely offload for Leilua's try.

I still think we should stick with Uate for the time bring but if we lose the Mata'utias I will cry.

TBO I have no issue with Bennett saying that and I thought his game plan was very good today. The team ran into a stiff breeze during the first half, so he had the team chance their arm in order to attempt to make meters. In the second half we had a big breeze behind us, so by limiting the second phase and risk of making mistakes, he wanted us to spend the entire second half at their end.

Bonus of winning today - we jump from 14th to 12th (for the time being anyway). First time in a long time we've been that high.

Waynes press conferences are pretty much always good value, one of the things I will miss when he leaves.

Despite everything else that has happened (or hasn't happened) at the club this season, they still deserve to finish above the Tigers and Gold Coast. The past 2 months have been much better than how the Knights started the season, they've been playing well (with the exception of last week where I think Uncle Wayne was too interested in getting a sneak preview of his new squad) and should end their season ahead of the back markers and basket cases...

That's what Wayne has got right since being here, us playing our best footy coming into the finals. Unfortunately, for 2 of the 3 years, we've been too far out of the top 8 to get there.

I would so love to have made the finals this year with the form we're in. Just to see how we went.
*sigh. Looks like I'll have to put Rugby League Live 2 back in the Playstation.

Hmmm, all of a sudden the team has found something they didn't have for the first 4 and half months of the comp.

You got me there Spot On.. I don't know how I am going to reply to this!

For season 2012 - From June 25th to August 25th Knights went on to win 5 from 7 Games.

For season 2013 - From June 30th the Knights won 8 of their last 12 games with 1 draw.


Why do you guys even bother trying to argue with me? :roll:
