... and another one. Better make that penalty count look alright on the stat sheet. What a joke.

Bad old days.

I really want to know where all our bad karma is coming from, because we have more bad luck than the rests of the comp combined.

Actually this doesn't appear to be a joke at all. Another one bites the dust. McKinnon hasn't been having a good year.

I honestly hope this is the rocket they need. I hope we come out in the second half and tear them to absolute shreds

Are the refs and their support staff patently incompetent! Surely when they review the matches they can see how stupid their good for nothing square up penalties are seen for the fraud that they are.

The refs should penalise McKinnon for putting himself in harms way and causing Bromich psychological harm.

Finding it increasingly hard to watch the NRL and the Knights play under Bennett. The refereeing has got to such a low standard that it's hard to comprehend how it's not genuine bias. I used to watch 8 games a weekend. Now I watch bits and pieces plus one full match - ours. And even then, I don't enjoy it much even when we win.

It's unbelievable how important 'penalty management' has become.

You have to give your quota away at the right times, in the right places. Eventually they'll stop pinging certain teams but continue getting others. And they'll give the odd token square-up at a time you don't even really need it. Then the opposition will cleverly give away a few when defending their line desperately and under pressure. Regroup. Reset. Right we've defended that. Let's milk a penalty now boys.

Taking the two :(

Words cannot explain how frustrated our penalty goals make me. Wayne just hasn't moved with the times.

We lose momentum, we never score the next points, and it virtually guarantees the opposition builds their confidence. You can SEE them physically lift the intensity.

If I was online at the time I would have said game over after this  We are f**king hopeless after taking the 2.

Ducking your head when you get spear tackled. Isn't that what you are meant to do? So you hopefully roll forward.

This. I couldn't agree more, the NRL is utterly determined to kill the game through inaction.

You can be assured that Bellamy would be coaching the team in rank opportunism and ref manipulation added and abetted by refs who are happy to be manipulated so the "right" teams do well.

Bennett's greatest weakness is his focus on the greater good of the game rather than cynical manipulation of the rules and refs. That's why he's off the pace now.

Blaming the ball-carrier for the position they put their head in when they're being manhandled by three blokes is so bloody wrong I can't believe the refs didn't just tell Smith to piss off.

Just Smith playing the manipulation game, sowing the seed that the ball carrier made the mistake not the tacklers.

You can be sure if Gids tried the same trick, the refs would have shortened him right up, but they are afraid of Smith so he gets away with it.
