Attack has some promise but defence is an absolute joke. How we let in 42 points after being up 18-4 is beyond me.

This proves we are not top 8 material. We came against a top 8 contender and were found out. We definitely need a middle forward, a hooker and a marque back. We need leaders and we have none and we have to pay top dollars for these guys.

Take last year alone and really we didn't let in that m,any cricket scores for how bad a team we were. Our goal line defence was passable. It was a concern however that our attack looked clunky each and every week. The mental side was poor as always.

Now we finally look to have got some nice shapes in round 1 and 3 with the ball in hand and our defence, courtesy of Dean Young, turns to abysmal. Still some very bad mental signs - look at Towshends try!

How long until we can get a team that can do it both?
