Dragons lucky and they know it. Held on through our errors. Another five we win. Agreed though RABK it was substandard against a team we should have put away.

Disgusting loss to a crap team but not all negatives.

Positives:
Mullen looks really good this year. Wasn't the best game he's played but didn't go missing and tried to find the spark for our team.

Jeremy Smith might just become my favorite player of all time. The guy is a winner head to toe. The Anti-Costigan.

Roberts looks good and Gidley was better at dummy half than when he played in the halves. Some SHOCKING passes mixed in with some good ones. Defense was good.

Snowden looked good today. I don't think I saw much of Mason toward the end of the game but solid game from him.

Rochow and Sims are the future.

Cons:

COSTIGAN.... He came on, dropped two balls, the scored a try directly off his mistake. He goes off, we score and nearly chase them down.

With McKinnon playing centre, we don't have a Fijian Flyer... We got a Fijian Front Row Forward Playing Right Wing.... BJ or if Quinn is fit, one of them needs to get out there.

Wayne Bennett's press conferences are gold. He just hammers the reporters into the ground.

Costigan is an absolute muppet. On his good days he's barely adequate, on his bad days he's f**king diabolical.

And if we cant beat the dragons away.. who are a pretty shithouse team then that puts us as a fringe top 8 team at best..

2 away games 2 shit performances.

Costigan absolutely needs to go, adds nothing but clumsy unforced errors. On the subject of forwards, I like Houston's workrate but in all honesty the bloke couldn't run through a layer of glad wrap let alone a defensive line.

Went to the game and got stuck near some morbidly obese woman yelling 'come on Newcastle' at about 110 decibels, who then proceeded to gobble down two hamburgers

Poor effort from the Knights. We're lucky just to lose by 3. Costigans errors give me the green apple splatters. Same old same old. Wayne shouldn't re-sign him

We just didn't complete our sets well today. When we did, we were good... but too many unforced errors. I wouldn't sell the dragons short, either. They completed 83% and Sowards kicking game locked us out for quite a while.

Absolute crying shame, we should have won that by plenty.

Saints curse again, they just find a way to beat us every year. Soward does seem to lift against Bennett.

We aren't going to challenge unless we can close out those types of games.

We still have a long way to go.

PS that will be mckinnons last game at centre, he is doing his best but he's stifling the right side attack.

We would have lapped the Dragons if we could have just held onto the ball. We made metres and breaks nearly at will but we handed the ball back too many times to take advantage

Oh and apparently the shoulder charge has been banned but the coathanger is now all good

Snowden looked good today. I don't think I saw much of Mason toward the end of the game but solid game from him.

I liked the quality of Snowden's runs but the quantity is way below par, 7 hit ups for 65 metres simply isn't good enough for a bloke who should be trying to play himself into rep contention, his opposite number Dan Hunt had 24 hit ups for 193m by comparison

We had 10 less sets of 6 than them, yet only made 70m less, and only lost by 3. We just need to solve the errors... dropping Nev and working out the Gids conundrum will go a long way. We missed Bedsy.

Spot on pervy

I saw 2 sets where we made 60+ metres coming off our own 10m line

Honestly, Im getting very disappointed in Boyds efforts at the back. He can chime in on an attacking backline move like no other but he is just not urgent or gutsy enough on kick returns. He is playing like a real mercinary and im starting to think we are better off without him.

Agreed, the Costigan error from dummy half killed us, we had momentum after the Boyd try and we were making easy metres till Costigan decided to f**k it up.
On the subject of errors Houston needs to work on his ball carry, holds the ball way too low, almost against his abdomin, twice in 2 weeks now he's lost the thing cold as a result of being hit in a nice low tackle
