I agree with Sullivan not being in the side straight away, I'm in 2 minds who is better atm Amone or Sullivan. I think the result last week was a bit skew if because the Dolphins lost their halves and in a a way so have the Titans. Just my opinion I believe the team should stay as it is barring an injury to Su'a. We are a good chance as long as we keep our defensive line, DeBelin made a huge difference.
I gave Jack 3 in the Serbs for that exact reason.

One thing about Sullivan v Amone in the halves is that Sullivan has a much better short and long kicking game than Amone. On a few occasions hunt nearly got caught with the 5th tackle kick as he was our only long kicker. Sullivan brings a better balance to the side & halves pairing comapred to Amone imo. Sullivan also showed his ball playing skills & running game. Amone is a good young player but needs to improve his kicking game big time. I would start Sullivan & replace Mbye with Amone off the bench. Amone can cover a few positions similar to Mbye.

I would definitely have both Amone & Sullivan in the 17 to get 1st grade experience & build chemistry.

I also don't mind if Musgrove replaced Couchman for more size & power in our pack. I thought Musgrove has been great for us in previous games. JDB return means we can afford another big prop to help continue our go forward when the bench replace the starting props.

If we can put the Titans under pressure early, Fafita will go missing in action, but if the shoe is on the other foot and we get uncomfortably behind on the scoreboard as we have seen we dont have the game managers and resilience to fight our way back. Start fast and keep the foot on the throat for 80 min.

Is that right? Definitely the bud long kicking is far superior, but Amone has a reasonable short kicking game I thought. Both have a running game of course.

This is the fact I liked most in your post.

This is a tricky game for the Saints with 3 of the Titans spine out with injury (FB, 5/8 and HK). If Saints go in thinking it will be a walk in the park they will get beat as the Titans forwards are pretty good and can get on top of the Dragons forwards. I am tipping Saints to win if they play like last week but the GC has not been to kind to us when it comes to winning unfortunately.

I am still shocked all 3 Saints players got fined with no suspensions. How lucky are we? Last year they would have faced 3 weeks minimum each.

Is Bud not 100% hence why he is not listed in the starting 17? I noticed Hunt said in his post match that he "loves playing with Junior". Probably nothing or possibly a slight dig at Bud which I hope it is not. Good to see Saints have depth in the halves and hooker roles with Bud and Mbye. Mbye probably had 1 of his best games last week when he came on.

Bud won't play NRL this week, he's been named at half in KOE. Considering that, and the fact the squad will have to travel interstate, I would say Bud will drop out of the 22 unfortunately meaning Mbye somehow survives another week. I hope to see Bud at 14 sooner rather than later, and we can see that Sloan, Amone, Sullivan combo working it's magic around the ruck, but Hook does like to go with Mbye for reasons no one else knows.

Presuming Hunt stays at 7, 6 is a shoot out between Bud and Amone (legal issues aside).

I can't put my finger on why but I just see a bit more excitement from Bud.

Amone strikes me as the conservative, backup option to Hunt for when he gets caught late in the count. But in the small sample size of this season, Bud seemed a more genuine attacking option.

I'm aware that Amone had two tries from kicks (which obviously don't count) but I just feel there's a bit more sparkle to Bud's play.

Hunt said today, he’d move to 9 if it was the best thing for the team, ie Bud and Amone playing halves.
